Hopefully I'm not the only MCU fan here. I wanted to make a thread to discuss favourite movies, characters, and anticipation for the upcoming films

ALSO, maybe if you're talking about Infinity War, put in in a spoiler code for now, cause probably not everyone has seen it.

My current top 5 rankings:

I'm not a comic reader (yet) so unfortunately I'm not very invested in the original Avengers or anything. My favourite character is Gamora from GOTG, and also Dr Strange. 
 
Infinity War Spoiler

 

So this movie absolutely blew me away. I was so shocked when people began to fade away. To me, Dr Strange, Black Panther and Peter Quill fading away were the biggest shocks to me, and hurt.

Gamora dying happened too early for me to comprehend, but after the end of the film, it kinda hit me and I got really sad. I kept telling my friends ""There is literally not ONE character left that I love!"", cause it's true. All the ones that made me laugh and keep me so interested in MCU were the ones that faded.
 

After watching youtube reviews however, I am now also believing that they will have to bring all of those characters back in the next one anyway. It's kinda like how Jon Snow died in game of thrones, everyone knew he had to come back, cause what else would there be left?

 

 

I'm really excited for Ant-Man and the Wasp though. I think Ant-Man would be another favourite character.

I'm not much of a Marvel fan to be honest, I've seen most of them only once but Thor: Ragnarok twice because I bought the steelbook. I went to see Infinity War with my friend on Saturday and it certainly lived up to the phenomenal hype around it, jfc I left the cinema shocked with a minor depression lol. My friend liked it so much that he's seeing it for the second time right now, meanwhile I'll probably just wait until it's out on blu-ray, it was great and probably my fave so far. I like Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Star-Lord, Gamora, Mantis and T'Challa to name a few (Thanos, Hela and Killmonger if we're talking about the bad guys, also Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight were fun). Never cared much for Iron Man or Hulk.

 

Also I know that Deadpool's not part of the cinematic universe but I can't wait to see the sequel in a couple of weeks

I used to be a huge Marvel-fan. However, the movies have been a bit ... too much lately.

 

I loved the first season of Agents Of Shield.

The first two Captain America movies (First Avenger, Winter Soldier) were suprisingly good, same with Ant-Man and Dr. Strange. Avengers 1, 2 and Civil War were nice aswell.

 

 

I used to be a huge X-Men movie fan aswell, but both Future Past and Apocalypse were super disappointing imho.

When I was younger, I was a die-hard fan of Marvel, nowadays I'm a ''just a fan" but I still have and read their HQs.. The only movies I didn't watched at the theaters were Civil War - I was disappointed with AoU - and Spider-Man: Homecoming bc I wasn't excited tbh. I still didn't watched Spider-Man..... 

 

Despite those useless info, I watched IW in the last friday and I can't even create a phrase. WIG maybe... Honestly I didn't 100% hated Thanos, but that small sympathy lasted only until... (SPOILERS AHEAD. DOGGO WARNED YOU)

 

 

Gamora's death. What a bastard. At least he loved her but WHAT THE HELL BITCH WHO THE FUCK KILLS THEIR OWN KID DUDE WHAT THE HELL. It seemed obvious to me that they are coming back but I still think that some deaths will happen - for real - in the next movie. Maybe Tony or Steve. I think that Dr Strange is going to be permanently killed because he doesn't even have a second movie coming. Wong this is up to you.

 

About the new characters we may have Adam Warlock (maybe not for A4, but I think that the possibility is huge due to the post-credit scenes of GOTG2) and Captain Marvel (obviously confirmed) coming so at this point, I'm not sure what we are getting for A4. 

90% of my favs died, it's unbelievable. Liked the movie tho. Also I just wanted to say that Thanos is one of the bestest villains, at least in the MCU (together with Killmonger, Kaecilius and Mordo)

Oh yeah this can be for Deadpool, Xmen and the Netflix Marvel shows too. I just didn't know enough about them to put it into the description. 

 

I love Deadpool and Xmen,  but haven't seen any of the movies besides the old ones and Apocalypse. The only TV shows I've seen are half of Jessica Jones and Daredevil season 1. Love them,  but I think for this kind of thing I'm definitely more into movies than shows with multiple seasons. 

 

As for MCU though,  I think the reason I only really care about the newer characters is because I haven't seen some of the phase 1 and 2 movies (Iron Man 2 and 3, Hulk,  Captain America 1, Thor 2). I do really want to see Iron Man 2 and 3 soon,  and Captain America 1

I'm a fan of the movies, I never really dug too deep into them as much before, but seeing as to how they've literally been on screens everywhere for a while now, I thought I'd jump into the bandwagon. X men movies were my favorite, but I feel like their quality has gotten so low. I gotta agree with subversive doggo over there how Apocalypse was such a letdown. First Class and Future's Past were great tho, wish they could go more along those lines style wise. 

Watched Black Panther recently and it's definitely one of my favorite movies thus far. I'm thinking Infinity War's gonna change that tho fingers crossed but who am I kidding. 
Civil War's probably gonna be first on my list for now, the BP, Ultron. Thor Ragnarok was incredibly refreshing, watched it a few nights ago, and thought the whole thing was so bittersweet, so necessary, but so bittersweet. I loved Hela. 


Scarlet Witch will always be my faveeee, I think Elizabeth Olsen portrays her well.

I wonder how they'll all be resurrected next movie. Who too rather etc

As I said before,  I'm a big fan without even seeing all of them,  so you don't exactly HAVE to see them all one by one. ive never been into comic books so Im not as into the whole Marvel thins as you guys, but I enjoy watching the movies

 

Sadly  still haven't Seen Hulk, Thor 2 and 3, both Guardian of the Galaxies movies, Ant Man, Dr Strange, nor Spider-Man, so i was halfway lost when i saw Avengers yesterday

I was probably the only one laughing at the "sad" scenes at the end bc of the memes ive seen online

i'm talking about these 'new fans' (when the hype disappears, they will disappear too as well) from lgbtq 'fake woke' tumblr that spend 90% of their time shipping characters + making huge mess over actors and trying to bully you bc you disagree with them; or if we try to correct them about something else (like that dr strange huge mess about whitewashing - i dislike whitewashing but some of them hate even the characters or the other actors that are featured on the movie holy shiiiiit) they get so mad lmao, they act like they're THE SHIT - most of them are on tumblr anyway;;;;

 

we can also describe them as these shitty tumblr users that have a huge amount of followers and already think they're a huge celebrity, avoid answering other people, are always arguing, anyway, they are an obvious small part of the public, but they get a lot of attention by being assholes

And I'm not a comic reader, but I know characters have a shitload more happen to them in the comics,  more relationships,  etc,  but like,  the film makers aren't the same people who wrote the comics,  so people should really not complain about how it's changed in the films. Watched Ant Man and the Wasp 2 days ago and it was brilliant, way better than the first and quite shocking.
It promises X and it delivers more than what it promises in the trailers.
