Thoughts and Questions about Lanas music in a technical sense

Recommended Posts

Discuss topics relating to the technical aspects of Lanas music. I don't really have much to say personally cause I don't know much about music, but this might be a helpful thread for others, and i'd love to read more about it and learn

Genuine question, because I'm really interested in the production of her music. Are the strings in the BTD era authentic or software generated?

Larry Gold composed the strings for most if not every song on BTD with an orchestra

Most of them are digitally generated. Same for Ultraviolence and Lust for Life.

The strings in Paradise are mostly authentic, though.

Honeymoon is a mix of both, I believe.

The strings in Norman are all authentic. The string-sounding instrument throughout the album is a mellotron, though. But when there are strings, they're real.

I think it was the Fuse interview where Lana said they were working with the Philadelphia orchestra to produce the album so
