Hello Heaven

Songs from your childhood.

Recommended Posts

We need this thread (if we don't already, I hope?).

S Club 7 were the group of my childhood. Rachel Stevens was my favourite because we have the same name :oprah:

I still remember singing both of these:

So OG tbh :diva:

Here's Rachel in her solo career :defeated:

NO. You can't experience S Club 7 in Germany? :oprah: In the UK you had to experience Reach by S Club 7 or you just didn't have a childhood.

You can hardly listen to any music on YouTube in Germany. I mean, I can watch it if I open it in a new tab because I have an application for my browser but it's still pretty shit.

Caesar said he’d fall in love with me if I was older. I own all of Mexico and I got my own roller-coaster.

you can bypass them. With using other proxys. But that's annoying. Oh and the GEMA is absolute sh*t..

when I was 12 or 13, I'd always listen to these Russian Soviet Communist Childrens songs. I had no idea what they were singing, (probably a lot of propaganda) but it was always so beautiful. It really touched me *SONICALLY*

I didn't watch TV that much when I was younger, and I didn't have internet, so I had to listen to what my parents listened to.

Which basically consisted of

MUM: Hairbrush Diva's, 101 80's hits, Elvis, 70's music (YOU CAN RING MY BELLLLLLLLLLLLL YOU CAN RING MA BELL)

DAD: Sex Pistols, UB40, The Smiths, David Bowie, The Who, Bob Dylan, Leo Sayer, The Beatles, The Monkeys

It's a wide variety between my mum and dad.

My dad was the only ones with vinyls.

(my dad had a great vinyl player that sped up the vinyls. Leo Sayer sped up, ahaha)

my parents were like 90s alt rock junkies so we were always listening to stuff like this, it's like my childhood comes back when I hear this or anything by collective soul

^ this song makes me so happy lol I remember singing it and in hindsight that was so not appropriate. also o-town's liquid dreams

The spice girls movie :hottie:

Also I grew up listening to my parents' vinyl collection more than the radio so was raised on the Beatles, GNR, Kate Bush, Kristin Hersh, David Bowie, etc. and a heck load of Aussie bands: INXS, Skyhooks, Sunnyboys, the Saints, et al.

These hip children all enriched by their parents' collections, I mean my mom played The Doors and Pink Floyd nonstop but that didn't stop me from listening to Britney Spears and Disney Channel :creep2:

Oh I still went through that rebellious pre-teen phase and would air-guitar along to Sk8er Boi in my room... :mj:
