MS MR is a male and female duo from NYC.

 

 

Their music is compared to Lana's and Florence's (which is very evident in Bones)

 

They are also signed to IAMSOUND (s/o to the Charli fans)

 

In the fall of 2012 they released their EP "Candy Bar Creep Show"

 

 

Now in mid-May they are releasing their first LP "Secondhand Rapture"

Their EPs are really good, and "Ash Tree Lane" a really great song to wake up to.  

 

I'm so excited to hear the studio version of "Salty Sweet" and "Big Teeth Small Kisses..." the album is gonna be really great. I just wish it had more songs...I went to see how many they had registered, and some of the other titles sounded really good.

Ohh, I've heard about them! Bones is really good, I see myself becoming a big fan. I'm really excited for the album since the EP is great.

Nope. I illegally downloaded the EP though since I'll buy the album 

 

Also I'm pressed that we already have 5/12 songs on the album in full HQ already since they've been officially released.

yes!!! i've seen them live 2x and they're great, i have to say for the most part i prefer them live to studio recordings but bones is my fave. i don't get the lana comparison at all.

I bought their available music on iTunes last night! I really love Hurricane. Bones and Fantasy are really good too. I'm not keen on Dark Doo Wop or Ash Tree Lane though. Hopefully I'll like the album!

I really like what I've heard from them so far. But I didn't have time to check all of their songs.

I've heard Bones in Pretty little liars, it is a really good song But my favorite is Fantasy.

I'm sorry if that shows me as some kind of hardcore hipster (which, i am not, and I hate stereotypes, but it seems the only way for average people with lazy minds to identify and categorize things, even people), but these kinds of bands that surface via internet and social media, always tend to lower their material quality because they suddenly become rush when they have a high relevance moment. And they are rushed to release music in those moments, and their albums end up being two or three tracks, and the rest plain old boring album fillers.

It can happen, and sadly sometimes does, but I would love them to take on a more mainstream sound. I've just had enough sadcore from the first five songs to last me through the whole twelve. We'll just have to see what the album will be like...from what Lizzy has said in interviews, it seems like 'twill be pretty eclectic.
