Cannes Jewelry Heist

Recommended Posts

An entire safe of jewels stolen right under Hollywood's nose at the most auspicious of events!

The heist seems a little too perfect.

The heist rivals the plotline of the 1955 classic "To Catch a Thief" and even more a film debuted mere HOURS before the incident took place, "The Bling Ring", which is also about a jewelry heist.

Thoughts?

(I think Lana fans will just eat this story up. :flutter: )

Lana. :brows3:

I know you're behind this.

We all know your obsession with diamonds and shiny things.

That really is pretty weird......

I think it has something to do with the movie honestly. Theres no way they could just have no evidence whatsoever. What about the guy who started firing blanks? Weird. That couldve been a distraction?

I just find the whole thing so cinematic, almost planned.

A theft has to be planned...otherwise you get caught. Nice one this theft have to give it to them. Feel sorry for the jewellery stores tho.

Still didn't hear much about this and the coverage was very little.....

still believe it was a total set up. Has anyone yet to see the movie? I wonder if its even good

This occurred after the Cannes film fest right?

It seems too set up & like It was meant for 'The Great Gatsby' to get a higher gross.

Idk & French Police are pretty laid back, because nothing happens In France tbh

This is true. No one want to do war with us anymore :paris:

On a more serious note, it has already happened in the past several times. Last february 150 luxury watches (with a value estimated at 1M €) were stolen in the broad daylight in Cannes. There's no conspiracy behind, the robbers knew the jewelry were here and they stole them.
