Tropico named 2nd biggest flop of 2013 by VH1

6. Britney Spears, Britney Jean

5. Azealia Banks

4. Kanye West, Bound 2 Music Video

3. Justin Timberlake, The 20/20 Experience Pt. II

2. Lana Del Rey, Tropico

First question: Why? Second question: No, seriously, why? Given the success Lana Del Rey had this year (earning Original Song Oscar buzz for “Young & Beautiful” and scoring her first Top 10 hit with a remix of “Summertime Sadness”), it really makes no sense why she released a 30-minute short film featuring three old songs other than to hold onto people’s attention as she makes fans wait for her next album. If the video had been good, then no one would be bothered but it wasn’t. The film was a bloated, awkwardly literal version of three less-than-stellar tracks. Gaga she’s not and considering Gaga’s year, LDR might want to channel someone else in 2014.

It's not like Tropico was intended to make a impact on charts or something so I don't know how could be a "flop"; for example in the same way Britney and Gaga flopped. But I do agree it was not really a clever decision, the transformation from "vintage beauty queen"  to "stripper cola" before a new record could impact in how Lana will hold public attention - that's why some people thought she was trying too hard with Tropico.

1. Lady Gaga, ARTPOP... :icant2:

2. TROPICO...The fact that she knows about it with 0 promo, proofs that it didn't flop.

3. 20/20 had a part two? Oh.

4. Kanye West, Bound 2...I like some of Kanye's music, but seriously did he really think he'd be successful with that shit hot mess that Yeezuz is? He probably did, cause he's an egomanic that thinks he can turn shit into gold...including Kim K.

He really lost his mind, I think.

5. Azealia Banks :eartha:

6. Britney Spears, Britney Jean :eartha: I'm actually kinda disappointed, cause eventhough I don't like Britney that much, there's always a few songs on every album I like, except for this time.

9. The 2 other members of Destiny's Child Bitch, DC has 5 other members besides Beyoncé tbqfh. Le Toya, Latavia, Farrah, Michelle and Kelly and seriously...the one's she's referring to (Kelly & Michelle) are major superstars compared to Le Toya, Latavia and Farrah (who was only present as part of the Say My Name and Jumpin' Jumpin' video in order to fill the spot of LT and Latavia, lol), eventhough Le Toya and Latavia were really talented. Anyway this bitch needs to get her facts str8.

"Unconditionally" wasn't mentioned, obviously, cause it's a Katy Perry single, eventhough it didn't match the success of her previous singles, which nowadays is considered as "flopping". :whatever:

I agree on the charts part. It's not like she needed to promote her more than one year old ep with this video. It was pure entertainment. And she succeeded on that :hooker:  :bye2:
