Currently working on a series of shorts called Cincinnati Storm, and a new feature film that starts filming December 18th, and will be uploaded sometime in January of 2017. The only film here that had a budget was Warwick - and it was shot and finished on a budget of $3,000.

Well, I mean.. some of them have nudity and sex, so it cuts it close. If that's all you're looking for.  :crai:

I was just facetious. i'll have to watch these later. i love budget quality movies. i like effort.  :flop:

wow... idk what to say... such a long filmography! congratulations! i am aspiring to be a filmmaker (or a photographer) in the future as well and i must admit i admire you... i am planning to watch at least one of your movies soon! :D :kiss:

I suggest either Warwick or The Trash if you're feeling ballsy for a feature. Or, pretty much anything from 2016. So, Blue Guitar, too. Haha.

 

Before that, they were mostly just exercises in searching for a style and a way of telling stories I think of. 

 

If you have anything you'd want to share, I'm all for it. I love no-budget films. <3

so i just seen "The Knock" (im sorry i chose the shortest one but i wanted to finally watch something and got no time :( ) - i love the fact you used "Venus In Furs"! :kiss:

the movie was good but i am wondering what was the point of it? i mean at first i thought it was about being observed all the time, i live in the block of flats and i personally feel like i am observed by my neighbours ALL THE TIME (like in that roman polanski's movie "The Tenant"). everytime i hear somebody knocking i panic so i thought that this movie was quite about it. the eye on the wall made me even more sure but the ending confused me... could you please explain what you meant?

Oh and i will watch more of your movies SOON :kiss: :kiss:

That one was definitely just a fun exercise. The only short film I made in that year, actually. But I intended that it be a kind of metaphor on how people are watched on film. The audience is always playing voyeur, watching things from a safe space - but I liked the idea of questioning, what if the protagonist becomes aware that he's being watched? Taunted? I kind of liked the idea of a bloody gift being laid at the front door. Almost anticlimactic, and not too original, but a fitting finale for the character's paranoia he's been experiencing.

 

It's not one of my favorites, personally, but that's pretty much the way my head was working when I made it. But then, characters becoming aware or being aware they're "in a film" is something I've always been interested in. Many of my projects have fourth wall breaks to show that. Whether or not that works for the viewer? I don't know! Haha.

I love that film. It's one of my favorites from Allen.

 

With me, I was influenced by Jean-Luc Godard's use of the fourth wall in Vivre Sa Vie. In one pinnacle scene, he has Anna Karina stare directly into the camera as a way to punctuate that she's aware she's heading in a troubling direction, and there's no way anybody's going to stop her. I picked up on that, that thin line between feeling safe watching a film and then when the characters themselves draw the viewer into the mess without any way of helping. I usually apply such a thing with every project I tackle - because I want nothing more than for the audience to have to partake in the story in some way. Whether in that way, or viscerally (like when a character is bored or doing a mundane thing; the viewer must feel bored and mundane along with them).
