Not that she wouldn't run out of stories at some point (or become less interesting when she has babies and settles and shit)... Still the personal songs are what distinguished her. well my personal opinion is that Lana will continue writing personal songs..writing songs it's her life,it's what she knows and does the best, she lives through her music..but I guess she will make more careful choices for her albums so they may stay forever unreleased

I think she's referring to songs like Ultraviolence with controversial lyrics. I actually think she's still trying to write personal/autobiographical stuff. Heroin, as we found out, is quite literal. I remember her saying that she admired how open and honest Jhene Aiko was in her songs and it sounds like she got really inspired by that. These political tracks were probably a one time thing due to Trump and all the shit that went down in 2017. But yeah, the filter really kills the storytelling a bit. We want all the details queen

That song has always reminded me of Dido. Yes I remember her, love her. I still listen to her old stuff every now and then. I never knew Rick had worked with her until I listened to 13 Beaches and that just blew my mind. Either way glad I’m not the only one who thought that!
