Quentin Tarantino’s next film will be titled “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood” and will star Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, it was announced Wednesday by the Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group.

The film has been shrouded in mystery and conjecture up to this point, with many rumors that it somehow related to Charles Manson and the Tate-LaBianca murders. According to the news release, the film’s release date will be Aug. 9, 2019, which is also the 50th anniversary of the shocking news regarding the murder of actress Sharon Tate and four others in Los Angeles.

Oh right, I read about a Manson movie maybe a month ago too? I hope Lana will make a cinematic soundtrack for it.

ummmmmmmm i'm really not excited about this  i know debra is involved or at least made some comment about casting a while ago (she called jennifer lawrence ugly ) so idk but i hope she's satisfied with the outcome. i feel like sharon is gonna get disrespected unless they cloned the good sis i will not be satisfied with anyone they cast as her. maybe they could do that cgi thing like with carrie fisher and peter cushing in rogue one?? regardless we don't need another movie glamorizing murder and cults and white supremacists lmao but tarintiontonitonotostidos has been cancelled already tho so shrug what can u do rich white men will continue to do as they please

 

i really love sharon and am not a fan of this movie at all :/ it does seem like something lana would get involved with tho so i guess we'll see what happens, all i can hope is that i'll be able to enjoy the song separately

 

besides if lana needs to get involved with anything it's the twilight zone reboot

I don't think the movie will really glamorize the murders, is it even directly about the murders? IMDB says "A TV actor and his stunt double embark on an odyssey to make a name for themselves in the film industry during the Charles Manson murders in 1969 Los Angeles.", so maybe it's something that will happen in "the background" while the focus is one the TV actor and his stunt?

oh good tbh i didn't really read anything recently about it and i should have, i saw other people talking about it a few months ago and that's how i found out about it and they made it sound like the film was gonna be like depicting the murders or something lol . still not happy about tarantino tho and the fact that no one will be a good casting for miss sharon  BUT if leo dicaprio is in it i might just have to watch it illegally online

Hmm, don't know what to think of this. The idea I've heard, about the end of the summer of love/love and peace era and the way that manifested in Hollywood could be really interesting, but I'm kind of on the fence of how Tarantino will approach this, especially if he goes in revisionist history mode again.

(I'll probably still see it, though.)
