  1. Lana told a fan she met yesterday that didn't think WHF would be the title, but it would be a single from the album. We shall see if that ever comes to fruition
  2. I def agree NFR is more grounded and less dreamy than HM! A lot of the lyrics in HM I think are the most comparable though, songs like Terrence Loves You and GKIT, Religion and even The Blackest Day seem introspective like the NFR lyrics but with more of a fantastical edge. What makes them seem similar to me is the personality and mood. Musically youre not wrong that NFR is similar to UV, but without the biting attitude the lyrics have
  3. I think NFR is most comparable to HM in her released albums so far. The mood is completely different from UV and BTD, its similar at times to LFL but more in line with HM. Very introspective and withdrawn at times. HM is sophisticated and mature but slightly undercooked (sorry to use that word Lana) and NFR is a bit more fully formed as a mood piece. I think WHF will continue that but be a bit bigger and bolder with a more UV-like attitude
  4. She is. At Jones beach at least she was only down there for a few minutes, at LATTM it was like the last 10 minutes of the show
  5. I also don't think they're serious, if those pictures hadn't come out we would have barely known about him just like we barely knew about Joe and Chase who she wasn't that serious with either. I guess we'll see
  6. The quote in question is: "She is a creature born of trauma, possibly literally, if you take Lizzy Grant's teenage experiences with addiction into account; but certainly aesthetically." So Powers was insinuating that something had happened to Lana in her childhood to make her and her music the way she is. What I got from her statement is that she was upset by that claim because a. Her entire identity was equated to childhood abuse b. that insinuation could have an impact on her family and c. she wants to be the one to open up about things she's faced in the past first, not have some journalist suggest it to the world Maybe she did have a rough time growing up and reading that just really got a gut reaction out of her to react the way she did. I don't think we or anyone, especially a journalist in a published piece, should speculate if Lana was abused as a kid, it's disrespectful.
  7. You really think those references are making fun of abuse? They're never made in a joking way.
  8. The stuff she said about Ann Powers really put her reaction in perspective, I thought it was so random for her to have done that. But i get why she was upset at Ann for having basically equating her whole identity with childhood trauma. Her answer made me kind of sad bc it does seem to suggest she had a rough time growing up
  9. Alex and Ashley are indeed talented but they serve no purpose at Lana’s shows other than to distract from her, they just don’t fit on stage. Even during BTD when they’re in the back they’re distracting because they’re like pumping their fists and dropping it low. The music can speak for itself. And yeah at Jones Beach there were a few times when one of them was blocking the view of her, like pretty much all of OTTR. I know it seems to help Lana to have friends onstage with her but they need to go

    Melanie Martinez

It is insane how seriously Melanie takes herself and making K12 only available by purchase is an example Of that imo....she swears on her life she made an Oscar worthy masterpiece. No one will buy it other than hardcore fans and taking it off YouTube just makes it unavailable for new fans of her music to get into. Dumb decision
  11. All of the chaos happened when we were getting into the pit, it wasn’t so bad during the show it was actually pretty tame. But the way they handled letting us into the pit was beyond chaotic and not in a fun way
  12. Idk if you were in the pit but it happened literally RIGHT after Lana came on..a guard was pushing her out between the stage and the barricade she was wearing a leather jacket and had short dark hair..she was crying and was like “NO PLEASE I JUST WANTTO SEE HER” djsjdkdkdjd
  13. I can't believe I used to dislike Bartender..what a beautiful track
  14. Just wondering bc i'm nosy lmao did anyone also in the pit see that girl who was getting kicked out by security literally during the first 10 minutes of the set? She was crying and fighting with the security guard pushing her out.. she was coming from the opposite side of the barricade that I was on so I didn't see what happened. I figured she maybe tried to jump over the barricade? Did anyone see what happened?
