  1. I understand how you feel. But it's a great way for her to gain even more respect as a songwriter. Did you like ULTRAVIOLENCE? Honeymoon wasn't bad, it was just less dramatic than her other albums. I think that's why lots of fans were disappointed.
  2. Oh and on another note I think she should start writing for other mainstream artists. She can really write and she can definitely bring some substance into the Top 40. Songs like Puppy Love, Serial Killer, MMITPM, Prom Song, etc, showcase her writing abilities for more pop oriented music. She could easily write songs for artists like Britney, Selena Gomez, etc just like Charli XCX does.
  3. She already declined. But her sales are quite impressive for her, someone who doesn't really promote. In terms of quality, no. 'Honeymoon' is NOT a bad album and has some of the best songs she's ever written such as the title track, 'Terrence Loves You', and 'God Knows I Tried', even the 'The Blackest Day' is up there! The album is enjoyable though I don't listen to it as much as the others. Her best album is Ultraviolence, and I think she should go back to making Rock influenced pop music again. It really suited her, her image, her voice, her lyrics, etc. I may be biased, because I love Lana a lot, as a person. I will always support her by showing her positivity, constructive criticism, and of course purchasing her music. For the fans who are less than impressed nowadays, I don't see the point in complaining. Just move on from her if you feel that way.
  4. Part of me feels like she likes it better this way. She's already said that the backlash she received during Born To Die deeply affected her. I feel like some of her fans think she's less self-aware than she actually is. She said she knows people judged her for her appearance, which is true. She said she knows the general opinions about each of her albums, too. You also forget she's been the victim of stalking at the hands of her own fans. People even hacked her and uploaded her personal photos on Instagram numerous times. For such a small star she is, she certainly has a handful of wack jobs who keep a very close eye on her. Another example of are those DailyMail people who stalk her on the beach, they've been doing so for almost a month now. I mean there's at least 4 different sets of photos of her sunbathing, undressing, etc. This girl can't catch a break. Which is ironic because yes her fan base has only gotten smaller since Born To Die. Yet the shit that happens to her at the hands of fans and paparazzi has only become more drastic.

  6. I voted Ultraviolence because that album changed me as a person and as a music listener. Everything about UIltraviolence - for me - was something I never knew I even needed. A painfully tragic and beautiful album. Ultraviolence birthed some of my favorite Lana Del Rey songs of all time with Brooklyn Baby, Florida Kilos, Flipside and Old Money. Her style during Ultraviolence was also very simple, old school and glamorous which I adored. The themes and topics that were touched in the album is what really gets me. In "Old Money" when she sings, "Will you still love me when I shine from words but not from beauty?" - I adore this lyric so much. This was probably so personal for her because she's drop dead gorgeous and gathered so much attention for it. But even if you take that away from her you still have a girl who's actually a BEAUTIFUL poet and writer in general. "Florida Kilos" changed my life. I remember when I first played it in August (yes I waited that long to listen to it) and something about the repetition of "yayo" just got me hooked. I felt like I was in a trance. Such a gorgeous song ironically about drugs but I definitely fantasized about doing yayo myself and when I did for the first time, this song was definitely in mind. Cruel World - Honeymoon Ultraviolence - Music To Watch Boys To Shades Of Cool - Terrence Loves You Brooklyn Baby - God Knows I Tried West Coast - High by the Beach Sad Girl - Freak Pretty When You Cry - Art Deco Money Power Glory - Religion Fucked My Way Up To The Top - Salvatore Old Money - The Blackest Day Black Beauty - 24 Guns And Roses - Swan Song The Other Woman - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood
  7. She inspires me everyday in every way. I don't want to go into depth about it. But I love her. I love her as a person. I think she is, in all honesty, the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She's my "Madonna", my "Marilyn" even. I love her so much. I just can't quit saying it. I love her. I love Lana.
  8. Fuck Charlie Kill Caroline Marry Lana
  9. The song never did much for me either.
  10. It's possible she wasn't speaking to her parents but still maintained relationships with her siblings. As far as her not having money, I remember reading somewhere that her father sent her money in the mail but she never took them. Maybe one of her other siblings did, or they also got their own money? Also one of the AKA producers said she didn't have a penny on her with he was working with her. She probably moved into the trailer park because that's where her boyfriend was living, and her boyfriend clearly didn't have much. From personal experience, she's probably exaggerating it, or lived "poor" for a short period of time. I doubt they are complete lies.
  11. For someone strange reason I thought it was whip me up. But lick me up or pick me up makes more sense since she's referring to herself as a vitamin. I'm so dumb. imtipsy sorry
  12. I love the Flipside cover, but I feel like it should be in black and white. The Is This Happiness cover is gorgeous and simple. The Old Money, Sad Girl and The Other Woman covers all gorgeous as well. Really love TOW cover. The last Ultraviolence cover is so pretty and simple. If I didn't have OCD I would use it as in my iTunes.
