Funny because Katy Perry still placed the song Witness on the album even though the song leaked 1 year before the official release and changed just a few things on the final cut

If that fat bitch @fckyeahcharli didn't PUBLICLY TWEET that Charli PRIVATELY MESSAGED them shortly after the release of N1A that she would be sending a WeTransfer file with the Exchange tracks sometime in the following week... we would probably have them. But no, they had to fuck it up and paint Charli as a liar for never sending it. Obviously it's a risky situation if she's having to go behind her label's back and message a fan account in order to get those songs released in some way but, I can't say I expect whoever runs that account to be smart enough to realize that.

Completely agree; her/her label (mostly the latter) play it way, way, way too safe with single choices. Even Bounce or GNO, for example, may be too experimental by pop standards, yet they’d probably draw in a lot more attention just for standing out! I don’t understand why Atlantic won’t ever take a chance with Charli.

Totally agree. Those songs (or so many others that we know about) would get way more attention and garner way more of a positive response than say... ATA did for example. I just have to believe it's Atlantic making these weird decisions, not Charli. Like, you can't just create some of the freshest and most innovative sounding songs in the last 10 years and then willingly choose ATA and Boys over all that.

I really believe she never had any intention of releasing those songs, seeing as she was so adamant about that since their debut (which is totally whack, lol - don’t get me wrong). As I’ve said before, I don’t think we’d even have Roll With Me to this day had Number 1 Angel not happened, and she changed her mind about No Angel as well because of the overwhelming reception (and I’m sure Sophie’s liking of the song had a part in that as well).

 

I think it’s more likely she would’ve released outtakes from the mixtape, or remixes of its songs, demos, things of that sort. But who knows for sure!
