Fame is one of the worst things that can happen to a person. It horrifies me. Maybe it's my BPD, maybe it's my anxiety disorder, but I don't think of fame as anything but a curse. I'd rather be poor than famous, and that's saying something considering how much I love money. I need my fucking peace. I've gone through hell, still going through it, in silence, behind closed doors. So many people think they know me and they don't know shit. They don't even know I'm sick. They probably think I'm just lazy, like we say Lana is. I can't imagine thousands of rabid fans harassing me & demanding that I mAkE aN eFfOrT while I'm just trying to get through each day without jumping off a fucking window. But I don't make promises I can't keep. And I didn't chase fame. Way too many people think of Lana as this shy, introverted sad girl^TM who just wants to write love songs in the rain and hide in deserted beaches. She might have regretted fame, but she wanted it. She didn't ask for this, she begged for this. She fought for this. She went from New York to LA and London for this. She sucked dick for this.

She wasn't a child star who got pushed into a celebrity lifestyle she didn't choose. She's been glamourizing the everloving fuck out of fame for like 15 years now. She worked so hard to become a star, refusing to give up even as the years went by and seemingly nothing happened. What can I say, be careful what you wish for... But she knew what she was getting herself into. She grew up watching celebrities getting harassed by paparazzi and having their personal lives invaded in the most shameless manner. She's been so lucky so far, the SNL thing & the UV backlash are nothing compared to what other celebrities have had to face. Nobody even gives a fuck about her anymore, only her fans. She manages to live a mostly quiet life, while still being able to call herself famous. I don't feel like most of us are asking for too much. Like I said, actions have consequences. Everything comes at a cost. You trade privacy for fame. And when you make promises, you are expected to keep them. When you lead people on, don't get mad if they get upset. And when you give up on your career, don't get upset when your fans give up on you.

...Though of course they won't.

I'm kinda focused on being a baddie right now. I can't really work.

@@LanaFlowers omg sis I have BPD too! Twin sisters club! Honestly though, I don't know why, but I would love fame. I usually feel like everyone hates me and I feel alone and lost, so to feel everyone's love and support and interest in me would actually make me very happy. I also love hearing people's stories and see it as a blessing to touch so many people. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I would honestly talk with fans for hours at meet and greets and try to absorb as much knowledge as I could. People are magnetic, and I just think it's amazing to connect with such a huge audience. Hopefully, maybe one day, I could have just a tiny little taste :blush2: if my music ever pops off, and if I ever get to making a fucking album. I relate to the "laziness" so much because I make so many plans to go record and meet with other musicians and I always second guess myself and back out last minute. I'm trying to work on putting more effort into things though and seeing the positive side!

I'm a musician, with friends who own labels. Friends who've been in the industry for 40+ years. And what I chose to do, is not get credited for anything, ever. My name has never appeared anywhere, and I've written hundreds of songs. Privacy is everything to me. Dealing with obsessive fans* & psychotic groupies at a very early age made a huge impact on me. Of all the other pop stars that seems overlap with Lana’s fanbase.

Troye Sivan really can’t sing, autotuned basic garbage. Marina’s voice is not really pleasant, decent songwriter, her production taste is a little garish and obnoxious, all her songs are like the worst of the overproduced songs from the BTD era. Azealia Banks leaves everyone’s wigs snatched always, most underappreciated star since her drama overshadows her music. Lorde’s best songs are all on her first album (unpopular oppinion), but both albums are strong. Sophie is the best pop star other than Lana. Sky Ferrera is very good but disapeared off the earth for six years while promising her album every year, makes Lana’s hiatus seem like five minutes. Charli XCX I love but don’t like the 1999 song with Troye, sometimes Charli is too basic, she needs to work with Sophie more. Grimes I adore. Cupcakke I adore. Kim Petras is cute and catchy but needs a lot of autotuning, I like her song with Sophie. Ariana is boring but is hot and has a very strong voice. Florence are classic but I don’t really listen much.
