Seeing Paramore fans outraged is so confusing because the Paramore video was literally them just standing in different locations like-

Removing categories from the Telecast (like the Oscars wanted to do last year) is about as disrespectful as it gets. Is she less important because she's alternative?? Just scrap the category all together then, if you don't think it's that important! And at the same time, they lavish the same artist (Taylor) with 23040505 prizes every year, and we have to watch certain artists blab on forever. Remember Billie Ellish sweeping at the Grammy's? It's basically saying "this artist makes a lot of money for the industry, so we'll reword them a million times and hear them speak a million times for the sake of our ratings and popularity. And the rest of the artists? Screw you - no one cares." It's revolting.

So they produced a whole show to announce the awards but didnt care to announce Lana's category but on Twitter...? Can't blame her for not showing up, to be honest.

Lana's team said that they have always submitted her music for the Best Alternative category at the Grammys, but the Recording Academy "screening committees" always move her to the main Pop categories. It kinda sucks because she would probably have a Grammy by now if her previous projects had been considered for that category (like NFR??? Hello??) but there seems to be a lot of shady politics within the Recording Academy to promote certain artists and supress others. Completely disagree on this one. UV is perfect as is: It’s her most cohesive story ever from start to finish. Although the outtakes would have made and incredible « B side » album or Deluxe. anyways, let’s hope electric guitars will be more proéminent on LDR10 (or whatever number is the next full original LP)

Yaaaaaaay! Now for the best part: if she can win video in Alternative at the VMAs, she could win Alternative at the Grammy's. Hopefully, they see the light and submit her in the Alternative category in Ocean Boulevard and she finally gets her dues!

I highly doubt anyone was pissed off and pulled it out of spite. The best most likely scenario is there’s probably production delays and they pushed back the announcement until they get a release date, since this is probably what happened with Candy Necklace 7in since it was also added to the store in early June, taken off, and then put up for sale later on.

Everybody go STREAM Candy Necklace and let’s watch the MV atleast once, CN deserves to have it’s day finally

there's a new nom category in the grammys since this year called "best alt performance" so it might mean that they can submit ocean blvd song or a&w to that category

Alternative categories should be just as important as pop categories. Alt artists also deserve to be recognized. They do amazing work.

Possible Best Alternative nominees include Queen of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Royal Blood, Caroline Polachek, Blur, Slowdive, boygenius, 100 Gecs... It's a tough one. Realistically though, Ocean Blvd is probably wrongly submitted to Pop. The way NFR! would have easily won Best Alternative in 2020.
