NFR lost and we still got 2 Jack albums afterwards tho... I think it's more about Lana being comfortable with him as the main producer of her records. At least it looks like she mixes in some other producers now

Idk how I feel about this This event is supposed to be about Joan so I hope she isn't overshadowed by Lana's presence (although Joan obviously wants Lana there) A horde of disrespectful Lana stans will probably show up and start yelling or smthn

The way she said her team made her fall in love with her job all over again This confirms my view that pandemic just fucked her up (as was the case for all of us) and now she’s truly back in the game. We should be expecting her to spoiiiil us

Tearing up at her saying how happy she is. I can’t even explain how happy it makes ME to hear that

Yeah she's definitely getting something this year if she gets nominated. Less competitive categories + a very acclaimed album + she's more popular than ever (even if it's not supposed to be like that, popularity is still important in these awards).

i don't think lana would be friends with joan baez or speak so highly of her if joan was really rude to her or dismissive of her, they literally appeared together for a photoshoot not too long ago, we shouldn't really assume what a person's like based off of what they said in interviews or posts on social media

for Mitski? i agree there’s no way in hell Mitski is winning over Lana. Lana has mainstream appeal and this year alone we’ve had people like Rosalía, Kim Petras, SZA, Caroline Polachek, Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo singing her praises while all the oldies like Springsteen and Elton John (the latter who even went as far as comparing her to Prince lol) were always supportive of her. if there’s any year where she can get nominated with a legacy/impactfulness narrative it’s this one

i can excuse the threat of an ava max collab, being besties with matty healy, the speed drive diaper outfit, the random galaxy advertisements but i CANNOT accept a sam smith feature this is my 9/11

now I just hope a&w also was submitted for best alternative performance, because that's the category I think she has the highest chance of winning

One last thing about Joan. Sorry..🥴 She was the original Madonna of music. She was basically a quaker, didn't do drugs, didn't have sex, always bare foot, no makeup, etc, yet, YET! They would say she was a whore and a demon! They called her the Madonna of Greenwich village. It was so paradoxical what was said about her and who she was. She was playing guitar in this fantastical way, and singing strangely, and Bob couldn't believe it, or ever copy what she did, yet she was considered just " bobs girlfriend". It was crazy what she went. She was going to jail for protesting multiple times. ( What music artist today would go to jail for protesting?) Was one of the first popular people to protest the Vietnam war and refuse to give the IRS money which sparked a huge anti war movement.she promoted pacifism. She did so much and got no credit for it for many many years.

so so nice to see lana so happy about her career again– esp live performance. not crazy about most of the setlist recently BUT she is really feeling being back on stage, putting real effort into vocals, and it's just so lovely to see her enjoy the fruits of so many years of making art again.

Cause she's the queen of folk music, has inspired countless other folk singers, and also inspired lots of women on women rights which was somewhat taboo in the 60s, as well as civil rights, walking with MLK. She was extremely influential to so many but never really got the recognition for it, kinda like Lana. She was my mom's favorite and my mom was obsessed with her and always playing her music. Like how people like Billie elish got started by playing Lana songs. Joan did that and inspired confidence for countless women. Joan is really big deal but it's not really know in mainstream culture. Joan did more for women of that era than anyone. Hands down.

people and ESPECIALLY gays are so fucking shitty towards Sam Smith when they haven't done anything wrong like I don't even fuck with them or their music like that but the way people are so reactionary towards everything their involved in is so horrid and nasty and obviously stems from internalized homophobia and fatphobia thats right I pulled out the liberal buzzwords but its trew neways the song sounds cute idk, its weird with Charli I feel like a lot of the time Ill hear snippets of hers and I'm like "okay?..." and then it comes out and is like the greatest thing ever but im just grateful for new music

Isn't this similar to when they first announced the page? It didn't do anything at first but then we had to reenter our email again to get the confirmation... but this was months ago and nothing happened I'm not sure if the presave on Spotify thing was there tho... Regardless of that I still think something is coming... stuff similar to SYTH was heavily hinted a couple of times by insiders and we know it usually takes months from teasers to the actual thing coming out (and it's been months already)

Oh yes maam, already fainting at the idea of a potential Grammys outfit! I really feel like this is her year. My friend who introduced me to lana admittedly kinda stopped listening to her around honeymoon era. She just did a deep dive of her recent albums and said nfr and ocean blvd made her fall in love with lana again! Particularly, she told me ocean blvd felt so honest and heart felt and gut wrenching, but beautiful and hopeful, and sounded like her teenage idol matured into such a self aware, powerful, matured artist both sonically and lyrically. I feel like the general public really loves lana again and i hope the grammys recognize that.

I deff think she has a chance at winning at least one this time by putting her album and A&W in the alt category. Pop is always so hard to compete with unfortunately. I’ll be manifesting

Yeah I remember hearing that she has tried to submit to alt categories in the past but that the Grammys always end up moving her to pop anyway.
