going out of your way to make some sort of point of how apparently underdeveloped brazil is in a thread discussing thousands of people being in danger, and the death of a young woman, is very gross and insensitive, regardless of how developed brazil is, it's clear that everything that occurred was easily preventable, the people who were running the venue didn't allow free water, and they closed the vents so people outside couldn't watch the show, it got so hot inside that it reached 140 degrees fahrenheit, that's extremely dangerous and not fit for life, and it could've been prevented, it wasn't at all about how developed or undeveloped the country was, that wouldn't even be relevant anyway, you just sound very insensitive, ignorant... also classist at that also, it's funny that you somehow think USA doesn't have places that look similar to this, USA isn't necessarily the pinnacle of sophisticated modernity, and people end up in the hospital or dead from the heat here too, our summers can be brutal

The reality is the UMG themselves don't know how to count her albums. In the official press release they call Honeymoon her third album and Lust For Life her fifth album which doesn't add up. https://www.universal-music.de/lana-del-rey/news/zeit-fuer-honeymoon-lana-del-rey-praesentiert-ihr-drittes-album-235498 https://www.universal-music.de/lana-del-rey/news/in-lust-for-life-reinhoeren-lana-del-rey-zeigt-sich-auf-neuem-album-lebensfroh-und-politisch-244414

You came into this thread and said "When stuff like this happens it always shocks to me know other parts of the world are still wildly undeveloped. It's such a blessing to be in a country where this could never happen." You then insinuated that Ana's death could be made up. You are now gaslighting people into thinking they're "too sensitive" for the nonsense you spewed. Honestly, the mods are a lot friendlier and more gracious in taking the time to correct you than I am because I would've just put you on mod-queue for such obviously blatant flame-baiting. You knew exactly what you were doing and exactly what you said; you just weren't expecting your ass to get whooped from all sides for it. Or maybe you have a humiliation kink?

Instead of arguing in the pre-pre-release threads for years, I decided to make a thread for people who want to discuss about the order or sequence of Lana Del Rey's albums. Which ones you consider as her albums and which ones you don't. Feel free to discuss it here!

You are … wrong on both of these counts. “Compared to the west” should not be a quantifier when it comes to determining what a developed nation is. Brazil is the most developed country in South America. Trying to compare it to “the west” (Brazil is the West, btw lol) as an undeveloped nation makes u come off as uneducated or insensitive or whatever. People die from heat related events in the US often enough for it to be an issue. Doesn’t matter if it’s at a music festival or not, but it is absolutely “something that would happen here”

The way Taylor can throw public hissy fits over petty shit like being namedropped in a one-off Netflix "serial dater" joke (Ginny & Georgia 2021), but she's doing seemingly nothing to help the grieving family of the young fan who DIED at her concert… it just doesn't sit right with me. Like, wtf? Maybe I'm being harsh, but these days it's hard to believe she cares about anything other than herself and money. It could be a legal thing I guess, but with how rich she is, I can't help but feel that the least she could do is provide some sort of support for the family— I feel really horrible for them.

Ana’s family started a crowd funding to help with funeral expenses and the friends and fans helped with money. Nothing from Taylor. Actually, Taylor blocked comments on her Instagram and I bet she’s trying so hard to not even be associated with anything related to that. What a shame! The girl was a big fan spending a lot of money to see her and died during her concert. Can’t even say how inhuman that is. People need to be very aware of who they admire…

saying you feel blessed that you live in a country that's apparently more developed or more safe in a thread about somebody in brazil dying isn't innocuous, it's insensitive and also makes you look stupid, tragedies and horrible things can happen in any country, the united states are in no way exempt from that, we currently have a massive gun violence issue that's pretty much only unique to us, obviously it is one of the most developed countries but it isn't some perfect utopia where nothing bad happens, and what happened at taylor's concert wasn't even about the country in which it took place, it was about the people running the venue being horribly selfish, because they wanted to make more of a profit and they were so bothered by people outside looking inside the building to watch the show there's nothing wrong with liking where you live or feeling happy to be there, but sometimes you've just got to read the room, especially when you follow it by claiming that brazil is underdeveloped in a thread about a tragedy occurring in brazil

Every country, every state has shitholes. There are parts of the US that are not very…developed or civilized by some peoples’ standards. I personally find all the major cities like NYC to be fucking disgusting, as “developed” as they may be, they are still overridden with homeless and poverty and crime and many parts of the cities are not safe to be in at night. That’s just the world, honey. Just because you’ve visited a country doesn’t mean you can speak on the entirety of the country. I mean, you can, but you sound ignorant.

literally this is the saddest part of this whole situation. everybody moved on, the other concert happened and taylor didn’t even mention the name of the fan. truly disapointing

    1. BTD 2. Paradise (technically an EP/reedition but it's long enough and it has a different aesthetic and sound to consider it a whole standalone project) 3. UV 4. HM 5. LFL 6. NFR 7. Chemtrails 8. BB 9. Ocean Blvd (the 9th studio album is literally everywhere in the promo pictures) The pre BTD stuff is technically unreleased and it's not even under the same name and Violet it's not really a studio musical album. It's an audiobook with ambient music made as a selection of poems from her book. More about Violet

This is exactly how interscope wants us to count her albums. Anything else is just what we wish for or what she wishes.

I know that she kind of recognized AKA as "her first record she put out 14 years ago" or something at the Billboard Music Awards in March but I will always remember this Born To Die birthday post from her now deleted Instagram, posted in 2016: This one is from a fanpage who reposted all of Lana's deleted Instagram photos with the caption and dates.

    01. AKA (First real album) - Lizzy Grant - 01. Born To Die (First album under a major label) - Lana Del Rey 02. Paradise 03. UV 04. HM 05. LFL 06. NFR 07. Violet 08. COCC 09. BB 10. OB I count AKA and BTD both as her first album just under different labels. I also feel like to me if it had an era dedicated to it and has it's own vinyl (ex Paradise & Violet) it counts as an album It's actually hilarious that her next album could be promoted as LDR9, LDR10, LDR11, or LDR12 depending on who you ask

honestly if I was her I would rebrand again.. has she got anything to lose? She should've just gone by Marina Diamandis to begin with, it's such a unique and pretty name and sets her apart.. that is if she really feels like she outgrew Marina & The Diamonds completely as for her music, Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land was amazing sonically, perhaps one or two less ballads would've helped it, what she really has to tone down are the lyrics.. I haven't heard a song similar to New America before, it's got a Bond-esque vibe, but then you hear the lyrics ADIAML was a step in the right direction sonically but lyrically she hit an all time low, I'd rather have L+F lyrics with ADIAML production if she just can't get it right like she did for her first 3 albums

As per Spotify, Violet is a podcast All jokes aside, Violet is not a studio album but some people dismiss the musical aspects of Violet too much. It doesn't just accompany the poems in the background, sometimes it fully drives the entire mood of the writing. Bare Feet on Linoleum is a completely different experience on paper vs on the recording. If we removed Lana's voice, then it would obviously be an instrumental musical album, and I don't think the poetry fully takes away from that. So no, if we're counting studio albums Violet isn't one of them. But I think Lana obviously thinks of it as an album in her overall artistic output.

no one's saying it's an LP, but no matter how much you try to count it out based on the EP technicality, she and her labels count it as a major standalone album release in her discography. and she said born to die is her first album several times, she does NOT count AKA. your "factual" order is NOT facts!

pff they are just trying to say because it's an EP it's not counted. it wasn't a traditional EP, it got singles, music videos, performances, major release and a film. that's an album baby. and it has 9 tracks if you count burning desire. the nonsense to think she counts AKA when she only started acknowleding it like very recently and INTERSCOPE/POLYDOR who has nothing to do with that album would consider it part of her discography? please...

She included paradise as an album, not violet, or she would write “10th album”, End of discussion.

I understand why people want her old sound back but I really want a new shift in her sound, something 360° really, like what Taylor did with Folklore or even Lana with Ultraviolence, something that's really different from their previous records
