We listen to Lana, we see her, we get her 100% without any effort. It's almost instantaneous. Her critics look at her, they listen to her, they can't grasp her in the least, and they embarrass themselves attempting to define what they do see. Look at narcissistic, fascist Anne Powers, complaining that Lana didn't carry herself the way Anne Powers believes she should as a female artist in the 21st century, didn't have the right political opinions, didn't have the correct vision and correct attitudes, as if Lana was Anne Powers, and not a completely different individual in her own right. Lana seems to have an unusually high level of people, especially in the critic class, that don't get her, but everyone who does get her loves her passionately. And the fact that Lana has a long string of dedicated admirers, some of whom are musical and creative legends—David Lynch, Joan Baez, Bruce Springsteen, Father John Misty, Courtney Love, the Weeknd, John Waters, Stevie Nicks—and they see and hear her, as we do, has to rankle. Obviously this has been a huge year for Lana; she won the war even if she lost a few battles.

I had a dream last night that she announced the title of LDR10 would be “My Love” as she wanted to go for something shorter this time. & with the recent interview, though it didn’t really touch on an upcoming project.. I feel like something is brewing x

Also, she’s campaigning for Taylor’s MIDnights more than her own album in that video interview. “Perfect song” . She should be out there singing A&W in these videos. Not Snow On The Tank. She should be singing and explaining the songs and the process of the Ocean Blvd album. She should be creating a compelling narrative with the album and get it out there. - What’s the concept of Ocean Blvd? - How did she get her collaborators? And why those people? - What’s the meaning of the songs? Some of these already existed in printed form, but she should out there. Blaring it out. She can literally pick one song for each video interviews. - For Genius: Paris, Texas - For Variety: A&W - For Vogue: Let The Light In Where are her managers???? I blame the interviewer and Harper Bazzar as well for making it about T4ylor and that song. Even titling their video around it . Her managers should have stepped in and provided guidelines on what’s relevant and what to focus on. That’s literally their job.

I think it's safe to speculate that either the joint album with nikki lane or standards & classics might be on the way this time

they are representatives. they do PR for artists. they secure brand deals and arrange public appearances like attendance to fashion shows and other events. they have nothing to do with music or releases. they are not management. she also has a publishing deal with Third Side Music. it just means they can globally license and publish her music to make money for her (and get a cut themselves). they also don't have anything do about getting her to record or release music. i don't know if she has a manager or management team. she sounds unmanageable. she must have some sort of tour manager or someone at Capitol/Third Side helping her out with booking shows and interviews, but that seems to be it. i seriously doubt she has any sort of solid team and i imagine it's due to her behaviour and her affinity toward firing everyone. when your label thinks you are difficult to work with, you act like a spoiled brat and fire professionals in your team and lose someone like Elton John who used to manage you, maybe you're the problem.

If she didn't just mean that she was waiting on outside funds, I'm confused. Because it almost sounds like she's saying she doesn't care to flesh out the era if she can't make the film, and is only putting out 13 MVs to get it over with now/match her past numbers. I know compromise isn't her thing- but come on. She could've just cut the script to fit 13 slightly longer MVs, solving the "problem" and negating her need for 13 unnecessary, plotless placeholders. PORTALS is already a 1hr6m album, each video backed by thousands at least, so it's crazy that she's acting like there's not enough time or money to execute her ideas in MVs. Other artists don't even get more than 1 or 2 videos per album.. It's odd seeing her waste her opportunities.

I wonder if this is like W Magazine where we got (probably coincidentally) glimpses of the next album's aesthetics (black and white, simplicity and vulnerability, boobs). It kinda fits her Americana description for the upcoming album but there's some pictures more on the glam side. I know the majority of these photoshoots have minimal input from the artist but I like to speculate I wish they asked her a bit about music but well... maybe there are some surprises coming not necessarily about a new album but a side project anyway

well that shoot she and nicki did with the horses seems to be for Something… as they asked the photographer to take down the pictures.. so album cover perhaps and then iirc she was asked about the covers album recently and she insinuated she had plentyyyy of them recorded she just hasn’t gotten around to putting them together and releasing them so… that feels like it could come whenever she feels like putting it out

Absolutely, and yeah, like after all this time and 13,000 dead, its just a tiny spark of hope, not a resolution. And best case scenario at this point: hostages continue to be released for more than 5 days, Gazans get ALL the support they need (for years to come as well), U.S. successfully sued for aiding genocide (already being attempted), and Israel sued for it too obviously. People need to keep refusing to let this be swept under the rug.
