She should've done a b-side + demo album for every album because she has like million outtakes and demos from each era. Also A&W music video!

Not sure it counts towards any year-end results, but Ocean Blvd made Discogs #1 Best Selling Album of 2023 https://www.discogs.com/digs/collecting/2023-year-end-best-selling-albums/?utm_source=Homepage&utm_medium=Discogs&utm_campaign=Best-Year-End-23_Collecting

What projects, that were confirmed to exist, but scrapped, are your favorite, that you really wish they would come into fruition, as planned? Just for the record, most of these projects that I'm talking about: — Scrapped Lana Del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant tracklist (In an interview on a French page it was revealed, that Lana wanted to change her name on the cover to "Lana Del Ray" and add some new songs to the record right before its release, but manegment wanted the album to be as it was) — Various srcapped Born to Die tracklists with tracks like "Hundred Dollar Bill" (Emile Haynie Version), Queen of Disaster or Kinda Outta Luck — Video for "Dark Paradise" — A full-length studio album Paradise, not attached to Born to Die era — Acoustic 2013 project (named Tropico) — Unknown project made with Barrie in 2013 — Original Ultraviolence with Rick Nowels — Video for "Pretty when You Cry" — Scrapped Lust for Life tracklist with "Yosemite" and "Best American Record" — Scrapped Lust for Life B-Side album with outtakes — Unknown 2017 hip-hop mixtape with different features — Norman Fucknig Rockwell! as a concept album, that was developing in early 2018 — White Hot Forever — Second poetry book Behind the Iron Gates - Insights from an Institution — Album of covers — Album with Nikki Lane For me such projects are 1. Making "Cola" a second single and releasing the video for it 2. Scrapped deluxe edition of Ultraviolence with tracks "Fine China" and "Your Girl" 3. Scrapped Lust for Life B-Side album with outtakes And I possibly looking at the idea of turning Paradise into the full separate album, I really feel like songs from September 2012-February 2013 are so-so Paradise coded, I wonder what would've been if she tried to include there songs like Angels Forever (Demo Version), Ave Maria, Wild One, I Talk to Jesus, and I Don't Wanna Go, but I'm not sure yet if it would've looked right, I still imagine Paradise time as its own thing, but in Born to Die universe, if that makes sense

Love Song's MV inspired by Monet paintings Lana X The Last Shadow Puppets Record and the original Tropico.

Y'all I just went to reddit to check who this person is cuz I thought maybe I can message them, but as soon as I entered the subreddit and saw his face, I burst out laughing. I know this person. I used to talk to him in the past. Him saying "i know blah blah but i can't reveal it" acting is JUST on character for him. That's his brand. He was always insufferable and annoying. I can't believe he's still the same after over 5 years. Like you would expect someone to grow up at that time. This was one of the funniest moments for me this year. Like I exactly imagined a f@g like him when i saw the post on lanaboards. Then I went to reddit, and I saw his face. You can't make this shit up. Literally no one asked for your selfies with Sky if you're gonna say "lots of information that I can't share". Then don't share the fact that she shared some information with you altogether. This is not your personal Instagram.

After giving the free Sky campaign the idea for the billboard, here's the next step I think we should take in this delusional campaign: gaslighting Capitol into thinking there's a new Sky song they're supposed to be releasing (Descending) by talking about it openly on social media and "tipping off" music publications / journalists about it. Whether they decide to seek confirmation from the label or just go with the story I'm sure that'll trigger at least a few questions / some interest within the label lol

I can't stand people who are like this. The "I know something you don't know" game isn't cute when you're past the age of 7. I've got acquaintances who work in education and healthcare, and it's so obnoxious when they start with the "Oh I've got this student/Oh I've got this patient, man I wish I could tell you about them, but, gosh darnit, I can't talk about it ha ha, but oh man was it something but gosh I just can't say it..." I just look at them like "??? Are you too stupid to anonymize the story? Or do we really feel like gatekeeping some mid af tale about a kid eating paste or a patient shitting the bed?" It's...really not that hard or serious. In this case, it's just weird to be gatekeepy about a musician talking with fans after a show. This is one of those instances where it's like....Sky's a public figure. Talking with the public. After a public show. I would think there's an understanding and awareness on her side that nothing she says to people is something that is going to stay confidential/she shouldn't share anything that's supposed to be confidential.

Love is being slept on by the fandom a lot. Honestly the only reason why it was kind of successful by the time it was released that it got really great promo and the Youtube algorithym made it recommend to many people (it's true, I downloaded Youtube on someone's phone and when I opened it, the first video it got recommended was Love and I blushed). Although the chart performance was kinda moderate. But like, I've seen people saying that Love is boring but while it's not really a song with replay value, like it's not an upbeat song with beats and such but it has a cinematic experience, one of her most beautiful music videos and the message about love and the youth, crossing the cosmic witchy and retrofuturistuc hippie thematics... honestly when I heard it for the first time, I wasn't really amazed because I kinda found it modest but later I was blown away with the thematics and it's really a heartwarming song. The lazy tempo of the song reminds me of Cigarettes After Sex songs and it marks the transition between Honeymoon and Lust For Life perfectly, like from Swan Song (I don't really count DLMBM because it's a cover) to Love, listen to the lyrics and the sound, they kinda contradict but flow within eachother perfectly, it's like a character arc or something. Just some late night thoughts...💤

istg all these publications, mainstream media outlets really tried their best to make us believe that overrated "the record" album is the no.1 album but we all know WHICH album is actually the best album of 2023!

I love those solely because I chew them up and spit them out of my friend circle. Like the second I see one of those kinds, I'm HOT for it, because I'm the one who WILL call it out (tactfully though) in the middle of a conversation. Main character syndrome killer, I am.

“Alas, we have bad news for these sleuths: Vanity Fair’s sources confirm that Swift is not, in fact, the author of the book. But either way, the official Argylle Twitter page has seemingly taken notice of the speculation and decided to lean in—by tweeting lyrics from multiple Swift songs. VF has reached out to Universal Pictures for comment.” https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2023/10/fans-are-sure-taylor-swift-is-secretly-behind-upcoming-spy-movie-argylle

not necessarily a project, but lizzy and steven mertens made some fantastic stuff together, and it would be cool if they worked together more and there was a more solidified mertens' AKA, we don't have steven mertens versions of oh say can you see, for k, pt. 2, raise me up (mississippi south), pawn shop blues, or yayo, although there's definitely a chance more stuff produced by steven mertens exists and are out there i definitely agree with tropico, some of her work from that period of time is her best although i'm certainly not a lust for life hater, and the fandom in general has warmed up to it, i feel like the original lust for life concept that was more atmospheric would've been a better follow-up to honeymoon, lust for life demo 1, yosemite, poetry in motion, best american record... also, i'm really glad her management didn't allow her to add any extra tracks on AKA before it was released because it's perfect the way it is however, i prefer the current tracklisting over the original one that began with for k, pt. 2 and ended with mermaid motel, the official tracklisting is just so perfect, it's hard to imagine it used to be so different

ATW is a Nashville band and Lana lives currently in Nashville. When Lana lived in Nashville in 2014 she recorded Ultraviolence album with Dan Auerbach...does this mean that history is going to repeat and Lana is recording a blues psychedelic hard stoner acid rock album w them!?!?!?

i think they're a bit too ambiguous to say exactly what they mean, but i don't really get a transphobic vibe from them, it doesn't seem like they're necessarily judging her regardless, we can't expect a song from the 1970s to be as politically progressive as a song from today usually will be, i don't think it's wrong to listen to songs that might have an outdated message/viewpoint, but it's best we're aware of it and recognize that it might not be kind or correct
