10 likesShe should've done a b-side + demo album for every album because she has like million outtakes and demos from each era. Also A&W music video!

6 likesChemtrails could have been incredible, I wish she would have kept the original concept that she spoke about early on. I mean the title track is flawless. Honestly Chemtrails, Tulsa, Wild At Heart, Dark But Just A Game, NATWWAL, and Dance Till We Die are all amazing. I think it should have had to more songs similar to the vibe of Violet.

5 likesSometimes I get kind of frustrated with her, she's so annoying when it comes to leaks, I get that it hurts that her stuff leaked but why is she acting as if her fans leaked her stuff and refuses to talk about it.. like fine I get it with Portals leaks but can she finally acknowledge some popular leaks from Crybaby era at least? I get that /some/ of them are personal but c'mon when saying you don't want others to hear certain songs 'cause they're personal you mean WHAT? did her aunt's sister's father's brother's mother give birth while Strawberry Fields was playing and that's why it's so personal It was kinda petty that she rewrote some songs with the same title and left some of her best as unused songs, it's probably why the era itself feels dead upon arrival. She should stop putting sfx in the tracks too, you're selling an album not a soundtrack Nurse's Office is such a good song and she has to make us listen to the movie sfx and for what. People loved Cry Baby because it was HER, it was unique but it was also an easy listen.. if she'd have released it today all the songs would have the clutter from the MVs in the streaming version audio I can just tell like the Mrs. Potato Head intro Given her latest fan interactions at this point I feel like there's a grudge, idk how else to explain all this, wish she'd realize fans are on her side and the only reason leaks get so popular is because her own creative ambitions hold her back from releasing music and therefore there's a content starvation on the fans' end... a single here and there wouldn't hurt. I wonder if we'll get a proper roll out from her one day. Also revisited K-12 and it could've been way bigger if it came out sooner, kinda loving it way more than Portals (sorry) although Portals is still nice. Just feeling like I enjoy K-12 (except Wheels on the bus) way more as an album than Portals which has a bunch of interludes and stuff tackled onto the songs.. though Portals' highs are reaaaaaally good

not necessarily a project, but lizzy and steven mertens made some fantastic stuff together, and it would be cool if they worked together more and there was a more solidified mertens' AKA, we don't have steven mertens versions of oh say can you see, for k, pt. 2, raise me up (mississippi south), pawn shop blues, or yayo, although there's definitely a chance more stuff produced by steven mertens exists and are out there i definitely agree with tropico, some of her work from that period of time is her best although i'm certainly not a lust for life hater, and the fandom in general has warmed up to it, i feel like the original lust for life concept that was more atmospheric would've been a better follow-up to honeymoon, lust for life demo 1, yosemite, poetry in motion, best american record... also, i'm really glad her management didn't allow her to add any extra tracks on AKA before it was released because it's perfect the way it is however, i prefer the current tracklisting over the original one that began with for k, pt. 2 and ended with mermaid motel, the official tracklisting is just so perfect, it's hard to imagine it used to be so different -

Saw her a few weeks ago, it was an amazing show. I saw her before the show and she waved at me! She's definitely living the rock & roll lifestyle, because she sauntered on stage and her band handed her some shades and her coat. The stage persona she taps into is insanely strong and insanely cool. When she took her sunglasses off she kept making her signature faces at me in the front row, I yelled "I can't say no to myself!" at her & she giggled and said "me neither". So sweet. Staff said she was "ill" so she didn't do any signatures or pictures after the show, she just went straight to her car. The passion and fire behind "I Blame Myself" was AMAZING, "Heavy Metal Heart" & "Embarrassing" were amazing too. The one guy who cues her track had a creepy vibe and she was visibly annoyed with him, "Innocent Kind" was a standout too. Hope she does another tour next year, this was my first time seeing her as a fan since 2011. -
3 likesThere's final versions of Jealousy & Sinful. Miss Y (Final) is just a different demo mix where she added new vocal ideas in the verses

3 likesWhat projects, that were confirmed to exist, but scrapped, are your favorite, that you really wish they would come into fruition, as planned? Just for the record, most of these projects that I'm talking about: — Scrapped Lana Del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant tracklist (In an interview on a French page it was revealed, that Lana wanted to change her name on the cover to "Lana Del Ray" and add some new songs to the record right before its release, but manegment wanted the album to be as it was) — Various srcapped Born to Die tracklists with tracks like "Hundred Dollar Bill" (Emile Haynie Version), Queen of Disaster or Kinda Outta Luck — Video for "Dark Paradise" — A full-length studio album Paradise, not attached to Born to Die era — Acoustic 2013 project (named Tropico) — Unknown project made with Barrie in 2013 — Original Ultraviolence with Rick Nowels — Video for "Pretty when You Cry" — Scrapped Lust for Life tracklist with "Yosemite" and "Best American Record" — Scrapped Lust for Life B-Side album with outtakes — Unknown 2017 hip-hop mixtape with different features — Norman Fucknig Rockwell! as a concept album, that was developing in early 2018 — White Hot Forever — Second poetry book Behind the Iron Gates - Insights from an Institution — Album of covers — Album with Nikki Lane For me such projects are 1. Making "Cola" a second single and releasing the video for it 2. Scrapped deluxe edition of Ultraviolence with tracks "Fine China" and "Your Girl" 3. Scrapped Lust for Life B-Side album with outtakes And I possibly looking at the idea of turning Paradise into the full separate album, I really feel like songs from September 2012-February 2013 are so-so Paradise coded, I wonder what would've been if she tried to include there songs like Angels Forever (Demo Version), Ave Maria, Wild One, I Talk to Jesus, and I Don't Wanna Go, but I'm not sure yet if it would've looked right, I still imagine Paradise time as its own thing, but in Born to Die universe, if that makes sense

3 likesFirst I disagreed with the first post, then I read this and agreed. Although i loved what we got from Ultraviolence, there was still the change from the original Ultraviolence video (recycling it for Freak really watered it down), the PWYC video never coming through, etc. I think that after Paradise, "missed opportunities" have been SO reoccurring and it shows because theres always something missing. Scrapping Best American Record and getting it replaced with White Mustang was also a big loss.

Well she should send it to him again and they should rework it for LDR10 -
3 likesDefinitely The Last Shadow Puppet collabs. And she knows she could have released an "Unreleased Tracks" album and it would have been her second or third most-streamed album. But i wish there was a specifix focus on BTD outtakes as they are pretty consistent in themes and production too.

Y'all I just went to reddit to check who this person is cuz I thought maybe I can message them, but as soon as I entered the subreddit and saw his face, I burst out laughing. I know this person. I used to talk to him in the past. Him saying "i know blah blah but i can't reveal it" acting is JUST on character for him. That's his brand. He was always insufferable and annoying. I can't believe he's still the same after over 5 years. Like you would expect someone to grow up at that time. This was one of the funniest moments for me this year. Like I exactly imagined a f@g like him when i saw the post on lanaboards. Then I went to reddit, and I saw his face. You can't make this shit up. Literally no one asked for your selfies with Sky if you're gonna say "lots of information that I can't share". Then don't share the fact that she shared some information with you altogether. This is not your personal Instagram. -

yay love this! Unknown Death is def a bit of an outlier in his discography in terms of quality, it's definitely the most amateur of his full-length records (which i guess makes sense) and like you said, Unknown Memory is vastly superior. after UM there's Warlord which returns to the somewhat darker vibes of UD but with the upgraded production of UM, although some of the songs on there (especially the bonus tracks) do start to reach UD levels of messy obnoxiousness but if you liked Solarflare (the UD closer you mentioned) that might actually appeal to you (i love Solarflare btw, no shade intended!) - Hoover is darker than Solarflare but is an interesting take on the 'overcrowded but melodic' style of production, and God Only Knows takes on the same style of production but with a much more shameless balls-to-the-wall noisy sensibility. if you liked Unknown Memory i'd recommend checking out Stranger, i've always felt like it's a more mature, slow-burn version of Unknown Memory! really unexpected from Lean at the time and surprisingly his lyricism really starts to shine here. or if you'd like to listen to something a little shorter, the Poison Ivy EP is absolutely amazing imo, so atmospheric and enticing - particularly the latter half of the tracklist! (sorry if you've already listened to all this stuff before and i'm just being silly!) -
2 likesI've always wanted sinful "final", it sounds so fucking good
-
2 likesas much I would like the song (the snippet sounds good), I'm remaining sceptical it's a 'final' version until it leaks. miss y's 'final' version is absolutely not the final version despite people touting it as such before it leaked, and like miss y, the song was never registered as finished either.

I honestly think every music video that didn't happen should be considered wasted pontential. Maybe except the military\war one lol. Image used to be such a high standard and appeal of the "Lana Del Rey Brand". Music videos for Dark Paradise, Cola, Get Free, Cherry... all of them had potential. I mourn a little she packed a punch with her videography but ever since Lust For Life it took a real backseat. We did get The Greatest + Fuck It I Love You but... meh. -

2 likesactually the project has never existed, it was said they were having sessions not with intention of releaseing stuff, but just because they felt like it, and they recorded only a few cuts (Valley of the Dolls, Thunder, California, Dealer, and probably a few other unknown tracks) unless you meant you would wish the expandig of that music direction
