  1. I have found myself thinking about this quite often... but I always come to the same conclusion. Some might say it's a little dramatic and over-the-top for a funeral, but I like the chamber sound it has, and especially its lyrics! I think this is a wonderful message to send out at a funeral, since funerals aren't necessarily an event of joy. "You will never ever be forgotten by me in the procession of the mighty storm" - isn't it nice to have this sung at a funeral? I think it applies to both parties: the one who's passed and the attendees.

    "Carry"

    Love hold my hand

Help me see with the dawn

    that those that have left

    are not gone

    But they carry on

    as stars looking down

    as Nature's Sons

    and Daughters of the Heavens

You will not ever be forgotten by me

In the precession of the mighty stars

your name is sung and tattooed now on my heart

here I will carry, carry, carry you

    Forever

    You have touched my life

so that now cathedrals of sound are singing

    are singing

The waves have come to walk with you

to where you will live in the Land of Youth

    Land of Youth

You will not ever be forgotten by me

In the precession of the mighty stars

your name is sung and tattooed now on my heart

here I will carry, carry, carry you

here I will carry, carry, carry you forever

    My second choice!

  2. That's so great! I bet she was fantastic. I'm so excited to see (and possibly meet) her too!

You'll definitely meet her! She's so, so, so nice! I got Singing From the Grave, Ceremony, and a poster from the gig signed. I can't wait to hear all about your show! Ceremony is even better live!

  3. The Smiths were the soundtrack of my teenage years. I Don't Owe You Anything, This Charming Man, and Heaven Knows I'm Miserable now were constantly on repeat. Still are, actually. I haven't seen him yet and I don't know why. I kind of don't have an excuse. But one day!

  4. I like it, but I was a bit disappointed at first, when I found out it was only a re-recording and restructuring of old songs... I was a bit like, 'what's the point?'.

I absolutely love the collab with Stephen Fry in '50 Words for Snow' (song)... And I mostly like them, tbh.

And yeah, it's unbelievable... And she's such a genuinely strange person, so reserved and eccentric. I love that aspect of hers.

I didn't come to appreciate it until I saw it as a sort of live album! I think a lot of the songs from The Red Shoes really benefited from the live drums. Plus, that re-recording of Moments of Pleasure is absolutely devastating! The coolest thing for me about 50 Words For Snow was hearing how well her son could sing and how much he sounds like her. He's got such a beautiful voice!

  5. I don't know how she manages it, but she's the epitome of both class and sensuality! :flutter:

    And those are great!

Can you believe she's just turned 55?! How did you feel about Director's Cut? I sort of think of it as the closest thing we'll get to a live album from her. I love 50 Words For Snow, but I'm not a fan of the collaborations on that album. They don't quite seem to fit in with the rest.

  6. Blasphemous. Debating whether to put Velvet Crowbar in there

Do it! They go together so well.

I think I've finally settled on my Paradise:

    1. Ride (intro/outro instrumental)

    2. Ride

    3. American

    4. Cola

    5. Body Electric

    6. Blue Velvet

    7. Gods and Monsters

    8. Young and Beautiful (orchestral)

    9. Yayo

    10. Burning Desire

    11. Bel Air

  7. Me too, sometimes!

Mostly to those of Julian Casablancas. :$ :$ :$ :shh: :runs:

I think my favourite one from The Dreaming is 'Sat in your lap'... But those 2 are definitely close favourites along with 'All The Love'!

Sat in Your Lap is SO good! So are There Goes a Tenner, The Dreaming, Night of the Swallow...okay, the whole thing is perfect! ;) I would kill to see a Kate Bush concert!

  8. Man, I can't tell you how happy I am to know that I'm not the only one who keeps interviews of some of my fave artists on my iPod! :awk:

I fall asleep to them! hahaha. I was just listening to The Dreaming the other day. Still one of my favorite albums ever! I remember listening to Get Out of My House on the school bus every day when I was a teenager. I can't believe I've been listening to her that long!

    My other favorite:
