yeah idk what she was thinking with these “singles” 
 
honestly now that it’s been a few months since cocc released, i can say it’s a pretty weak album besides tjf, the title track and white dress (in that order ). all of the rest of the songs are forgettable
 
what’s really sad is these 3 singles are also v forgettable and i’m scared for the rest of the album 
 
i’m even starting to appreciate nfr more and more now

they’re giving her too much credit....she won’t even edit the background or anything like that i promise
any edits she adds will make the picture WORSE not better i promise 

Cocc is literrally just NFR B-Sides tbh
Like most of the songs even tho are lyrically good have pretty weak instrumentals. To me this album seems rushed and she should have just done what she did with Paradise and release it as an EP to complete NFR

I don't think this is a good thing but let's see, maybe this new album will have more a bit of a variety sonically/production-wise

I mean it could be that it has some significance (as you say, the bruises). I'm sure she had reasons for picking all of the selphies she's picked as covers but I was just saying that I don't think she picked it to take the piss out of people who think her artwork is bad.
I still think it's a lazy option for a cover, but eh. It's about the music.
 

At this point we should stop looking for excuses and accept that this is the cover, I'm not going to lie to myself, I hate that cover. It almost feels like revenge from Lana for criticizing the Chemtrails cover.

I disagree - it's very obvious that she sees criticism as blanket hate and doesn't thoughtfully consider any of it (even if it's constructive). In HER mind, people's complaint about the COCC cover was the lack of inclusion (even though absolutely no one was complaining about that) so it doesn't make sense to make it a selphie of a blonde white woman (herself) as a "fuck you" in response (well, in a way it does ... but it'd be a very very cringe way to respond to such criticism). Also, she's used selphies long before now as well (MAC, DT, Hope, and VB was a picture of a house and some trees), so this isn't some new genius ploy of hers.
I don't think it's that deep; she's just lazy and likes to use selphies.
