  1. Blue Jeans is melodramatic and monotonous, though the lyrics are pretty goooddd (I HATE the bridge)
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure Chuck mentioned supporting Bernie in a Periscope ages ago
  3. as much as I love you AKA sorry i wanna kill you
  4. Eliminate: Blue Jeans, Lolita Immunity: Video Games
  5. eliminate: Diet Mountain Dew, Lolita immunity: National Anthem
  6. Eliminate: Dum Dum, Go Go Dancer, EMGHW Immunity: Angels Forever
  7. Eliminate: Diet Mountain Dew Immunity: Carmen
  8. Does anyone know of a reliable masterpost containing all unreleased songs, instrumentals and demos? because my iTunes is being a bitch and deleting loads of files. And one with the original album artwork and good quality audio files
  9. When I first heard Body Electric, I thought she was saying ''Ground/grind all our prey'' instead of Grand Ole Opry
  10. all produced by who else but - Emile Haynie!! Here's me hoping Lana's new album sounds like Florence's recent e.p.
  11. ah beautiful!! German is so underrated as a language and I hate it when everyone says it is harsh and not beautiful like Spanish or French, I'm so glad to be learning it!!
  12. She most likely began writing it in late 2012, to be finished in 2013, and yes it was specifically written for the film.
  13. having said that, btd and paradise is her best work and so what if she wants to perform more btd live. That's the era that made her truly iconic.
  14. YES OMG couldn't agree with you more
  15. and more songs from UV and HM have to be performed, she spoke so highly of Honeymoon and it seemed like she really liked it. She has even spoken of disliking the whole BTD era and disliking its production. If so, then why not promote your most recent album which supposedly you prefer?
  16. I'm just really looking forward to the day when Lana really goes to town and literally 'puts on a show for us' and gives the vocals her all and brings back the strings and hopefully some day a full orchestral set up with saxophones and the like. (which would be apt for honeymoon). I just feel like she just needs to put a bit more effort into her live performances and make herself happier by refreshing the setlist and doing wacky things on stage. I want her to be ICONIC again.
  17. is there a thread for unleaked official instrumentals like Without You, American, Cola, Blue Velvet, Gods & Monsters, Florida Kilos, most of AKA, etc?
  18. Interesting you should ask that, because in Dark Paradise and Lucky Ones, Rick Nowels' wife provided backing vocals. As well as Hannah Robinson on Lolita and Emilie Bauer-Mein, James Bauer-Mein and David Sneddon on National Anthem.
  19. and... most of the tracks lyrics are repeated, almost mimicked on instruments if you listen to the instrumental. OMG it's so clever!!
  20. Apart from Carmen being one of my favourite songs on BTD (and Lana's overall discography possibly), with incredible, story-telling lyrics and instrumentation, I can't help but notice that it has a leitmotif of its own that runs throughout the track. The melody that Lana sings in the line 'Darlin', darlin', doesn't have a problem' is repeated throughout the track if you listen carefully, on various instruments including the cello, piano, harp and even glockenspiel, and seems to tie the track together and almost mimic the darkness of the lyrics in catchy, beautiful way. Does anyone else understand what I'm getting at or am I just crazy??
  21. The above quotes for Hollywood's Dead are as accurate as you're going to get, but I shall write it out on sheet music sometime. *chords
