I love them. They really struggled & took their time to record their debut album, and even though it's not perfect (some of songs could have been a lot better when you compare to how they sound live), I really dig it. Hopefully they'll get better recording in the studio with the time, I still think they can get bigger. some stuff to check out if you're a new fan: Oh and they're doing SNL on 23rd november.

I know what you did @@elllipsis
  4. Saw this on the Music Essentials he made for hypetrak, thought it was interesting: "My Zoom - I always have it with me. Whatever happens and where ever I am. Sometimes, I hear sounds that I want to record. It's full of things. The memory card is huge because I have sounds from 2007. I have rehearsals of Lana Del Rey and I singing together. Hopefully it will come out someday." You can read the rest of his Music Essentials here.
  5. I don't think Lana has anything to say in this... it's most likely her managers, I'd say. It all depends on how/if you want to commercialize it (copyrights $$) and if it's far different from the original. But he has a contract with Interscope now, sooooo don't worry about this and be ready to eat some Gervais girl. Didn't she said a few words about it in that Radio.com interview? I don't really remember.
  6. This one reminded me a LOT of Nicolas Winding Refn's first movies (the first 2 Pusher & Bleeder particularly), very similar style! Ever saw them? --- My favorites: Flying Lotus - Until The Quiet Comes short film directed by Kahlil Joseph The most beautiful video clip I ever saw, hands down! The Shoes - Time To Dance directed by Daniel Wolfe Ultra violent, Jake Gyllenhaal completely nailed it. DJ Mehdi - Signatune directed by Romain Gavras Because dude's gone too soon, RIP Mehdi. Daft Punk - Da Funk directed by Spike Jonze Most random clip EVER, love it. XXYYXX - About You directed by VASH SO hypnotizing & chill...

IKR! WTF is Wanderlust?! His 3 mixtapes were so dark and great... with Kiss Land it's like he's trying to be more mainstream and touch more people, I already wasn't feeling it when I saw the cover of the album tbh. I remember reading an interview of Jeremy Rose (producer of 'What You Need', 'Loft Music' & the original 'The Morning') on VICE, where he said that Abel was a basic rapper before and his lyrics were boring AF... I think he needs to be well surrounded to make great music, unfortunately I guess.

    The Weeknd

I did, once. It's pretty bad, the beats are generic & the lyrics kinda sucks... His weakest work imo. KL & BTW are the best songs so if you didn't liked them, I don't think you're gonna like the rest. He had so much potential... I rather listen to Jai Paul's 'demos album' tbh.

  11. @@ThorixB Ooh, I just realised that you were already being rude in the Electronic Beats interview thread, how surprising! I don't want to waste my time answering to your posts, just go away pls.

The second part of XO / The Host... OMFG!! Outside before is amazing too. I tend to agree on this. I don't hate Drake, I quite like Take Care actually but I don't think their voices goes well together. Their last song for Kiss Land is very sloppy imo. It's like I've already heard it 94949845 times. I love this one tho (he kind of stole it from Abel but whatever): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFIZIcQw2VQ

I do! I know that @@elllipsis does too, so you won't be alone. You didn't even liked Belong to the World? Hmmm, his performances does not do justice to the production of his mixtapes (especially on TV show like Jools Holland). The studio versions are way better imo. Try those? it's from his first mixtape:
  14. And why did he used the dailymail to say that?
  15. Jackson and His Computerband - G.I. Jane (Fill Me Up)
  16. It won't take you a lot a of time & you'll be amazed, I promise. You're into Andrzej Sapkowski's books? I have the 2nd but still haven't played to it, not familiar with the universe but I really want to get into it before the 3rd.
