I have to give credit where credits due- I think the whole brat thing is ugly as hell but she’s somehow turned it into a emerging fashion and decor brand  - I’m seeing random accounts making mirrors and stuff unofficially with “brat” on- if she plays her cards right she could have a massive fashion brand.

It will be interesting to see if her influences actually come out in the next record- the way this album was marketed as an alt pop record by her was so odd

I mean a lot of artists do things that an average person would consider dangerous because they see it as adventurous- I don’t think there’s any explanation other than a brief lapse in judgement for reward.

I really want something new and fresh but can’t really blame her for not innovating anymore- I don’t want any trap or soft slow non belted ballads- I want something fast that makes use of her operatic registers, something dark that uses horror strings etc just something to push her into a new direction 

We’ve already had the slow ballads, trap/hip hop mix for yearrrrrssss now- I remember when UV was such a fresh direction

And If I don’t even know it, I doubt “her team” knows  . You expect “her team” or L4na to background check every single person she works with? . That’s not realistic. If L4na was working with Br!tney’s dad or endorsed the IDF in her new song, now that would be problematic currently.

Yes I’d expect them to know- it’s not unknown knowledge and if you know someone I’d certainly Google them- takes 10 seconds of your time.

Background checks should be the standard of all decent management

I mean I’m sure there’s some Marina inspo in some of the songs but it’s not really an issue I care to die on- she mentioned her enough during the pre lease that obviously it inspired the songwriting

in fairness i believe she collaborated with borns before the news came out, and playboi carti was arrested like a week before summer bummer’s release (it might have not been his first time- he has a long history of abuse and i’m not sure when it first came out). however there’s definitely no excusing the quavo collab and it would’ve been appropriate (and relatively common for artists to do now) for her to come out and condemn their actions after the news came out.

Oh, I’m not going on about any cancelling or etc- I just think her team needs to tighten up in her collaborations.Especially when there was rumours before some of the news was released- the industry does talk so somebody could alert her surely?

She wants peoples money without doing all the work typical of a major level popstar. Not trying to be rude but I think everyone is slowly figuring this out. 
 

she does not want to work an average job from what we know and wants money for half effort touring- but atleast the vocals are decent now.

Don’t take this the wrong way but this is the first I’ve seen the dislike you’ve directed at her have proper substance- it’s just straight facts here.

Of course it is and I appreciate that- I just feel its odd that songs like b2b and club classics are 10x more well done in my opinion but it is just an opinion- obviously my opinions tend to not be agreed with anyway so happy she’s getting tons of success.

Some of the songs are very bleak in terms of theme tbh- like becoming so hyper focused on success and acclaim that you lose sight of yourself.
