  5. I saw Video Games posted a lot so I gave it a try but didn't really like it at first lol. This was the end of 2011 but I didn't even know the Born To Die video existed because people only talked about Video Games and youtube never recommended me the video lol. Lana Del Rey EP was released and I listened to it a few times but still didn't know if I liked her or not, though, I did love the song Born To Die. I found out the video existed and I loved it so much. I watched it a few times a day lol. Then the album was released and that changed me in a big way.
  6. My favorite new series: Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter - A 4 issue flash back to 80's midnight creature features. It's fun, action packed, and all around great. Heartbeat - A damn beautifully drawn vampire story. Think True Blood meets Vampire Academy with some of the most beautiful horror art in current comics. Money Shot - Scientists need funding for space exploration, so they decide to make adult videos with aliens. It's not as cheesy or r-rated as it sounds lol. Once & Future - Imagine zombie King Arthur comes back, but with the ethnic cleansing goals of Hitler. The Plot - Without a doubt the most interesting horror comic I've ever read. SFSX - A near distant future where sex is monitored by the government. But in this series, sex workers are the heroes of their own story. Pretty Violent - A young super hero from a family of villains tries her best to be good. If you like the idea of Harley Quinn as a kid trying to be good, you'll love this. Unsacred - An angel and demon love story, though, it's not written as your standard comic. It's mostly one mini story per page. Other series I'm reading that are worth checking out: 20XX Black Stars Above Butcher Of Paris The Clock Family Tree Folklords Heart Attack Lucy Claire: Redemption Marked Mountainhead Nomen Omen Ogres Red Mother RV9

  8. It's strange to see how many people fear WW3 when I feel like we've already been in it for like 15 years
  9. I sang this at my 6th grade talent show
  10. Alanis is one of the greatest artists of all time. Yeah, she's about 9 months pregnant lol
  11. Well... Talking Like An Answering Machine Eg White worked with Florence & The Machine Lana has taken pictures with Florence "You're part of the past, but now you're the future" - AI's were in tv shows from the PAST such as Rosie from The Jetsons, but now they are apart of the FUTURE Mariners Apartment Complex was played on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds With Annie Mac Annie Mac sounds very similar to the hit Nickelodeon show Alex Mack that had futuristic graphics for its time... Alex MACK... MAC... hmm... "I'll tell you the future" line in Out With A Bang proves that Lana is a cyborg from the future "I can't believe what is in my past, the future's here at last" This line is the most definitive proof of Cyborg Del Rey. Lana can't believe her past human life was even real. It seems so distant from the cyborg she is today. She's caught between her past life as a human and the future (where cybors rule... duh) that she thrives in. She is both in the past and future of her life. Cyborgs are going to become more mainstream in the coming decades and, with the rise of AI, Lana feels that she is now apart of the future. Have you noticed that time and futurism is a common lyrical theme? Have you paid attention to the Love video? If you don't believe that Lana is a cyborg you're brainwashed sheep tbh. OPEN YOUR EYES TO THE TRUTH, DUDE!!!
  12. Yep, any time she gains a few pounds people act like she's pregnant and it's ridiculous lol
  13. Considering we have monthly pictures of her from the last decade, and she's not pregnant in any of them... no. She said it was a lullaby, so it was probably written for a friend's child or just a cute thing she wanted to try to write. It's not that deep y'all lol.
  14. Omg the past 5 years have been some of the best years in metal history imo! Kreator, Iron Maiden, Mykur, Anthrax, Huntress, Black Sabbath, Cripper, Pallbearer, Judas Priest Holy Moses, Ghost, Girlschool, The Agnoist, Powertrip, Kampfar, Exodus, Exumer, Anette Olzon, Mushroomhead, Rotting Chirst...there's probably more I'm missing! Oh and Self Disgrace, Satan's Hallow, and Mystik released three of my favorite albums of all time from any genre I'd highly recommend checking out Midnight Dice and Mystik!
  15. My hopeful brain: Oh wow! This thread has been fairly active today, maybe I should check if something has finally been released My logical brain:
  16. Damn, this hasn't really been the best year for metal. It was a struggle to name 7 albums/eps that I really loved whereas previous years it would be a struggle to only name 20 I loved. My favorites Midnight Dice - Midnight Dice (not shocking at all considering Mandy was formerly in Satan's Hollow. Their album is one of my favorite albums of all time from any genre) Mystik - Mystik (probably my most listened to album of the year) Rotten Reputation - BDSM (pure feminist punk bliss) Solicitor - Solicitor (so good!!) Saint Vitus - Saint Vitus (I loved it the first dozen or so listens, but now it's just... okay?) Rotten Reputation - Aftercare (not as good as BDSM, but it's still good) Hess - Harpokrates (not my absolute favorite but it's pretty good) Albums I thought were okay but not the best 2020 seems like it's going to be great consider my 3 favs are probably releasing
