  1. Born To Die – Off To The Races – Blue Jeans – Video Games is the most perfect sequence of songs in the history of music made by mankind. Sorry, I don't make the rules. And yes, that's technically even one punch too much, but that only further proves my point.
  2. Happy birthday to my favourite album of all time! Born To Die (and Blue Neighbourhood) really turned me into the person I am today, and it's only fair that critics and publications are finally acknowledging just how much of an impact Born To Die had – and continues to have – on pop culture and the music landscape. Truly a modern classic in every way possible.

    Charli XCX

    You're a fucking legend.

    Charli XCX

Wow, this is amazing! Well done! Any chance you have a Good Ones edit too?

BOP but also too short, let me know when there's extended versions of all the singles pls. <3

    Dua Lipa

Honestly, we should be happy that she's experimenting with her sound and doing what she wants to do rather than just trying to please fans. Future Nostalgia was undoubtedly the pop era of the decade, but that doesn't mean that I don't want her to keep evolving as an artist.

    Kylie Minogue

Period. And why would you even mention After Dark, it's such a sensual and elegant song!

    Kylie Minogue

Agreed. The last time she was somewhat experimental was around 2013/2014, but most of those songs didn't even end up on the album. But if you're interested, check out the Sleepwalker and Kylie + Garibay EPs! But NOW we've said it!
  9. Oh shit that was yesterday? I mean... Thank you to my good pal @gwenstefani for attending in my place while I was busy doing important Wigglytuff things, and thanks to @the ocean for actually letting her in despite her not having a ticket, otherwise the good sis would've flown in from Oklahoma for nothing. Congratulations to ALL the winners, runner-ups and nominees, and in particular to @Terrence Loves Me, @Clampigirl, and @Rorman Nockwell! And since I wasn't very active this past year, I'll even forgive y'all for not giving me a Hybrid Stan nomination this year; I'll let it slip, but only this one time.
  10. The way she made an 11-minute song just like that... Can we say iconic?

    Madonna

On a completely unrelated note, I just realised this year is not only the tenth anniversary of Born To Die, but also of MDNA. I know it's not exactly her best album, but I feel like it gets way too much hate from the Little Madonsters. I wonder if M is going to do anything special, or if she's even going to... acknowledge it. It would be nice to at least get some of the alternative mixes onto streaming; the William Orbit one of Love Spent is one of my absolute favourites. A vinyl reissue would be great too, the original is going for way too much these days.

Please be Róisín Murphy/Jessie Ware/Giorgio Moroder (or God Control) kinda Disco and not Kylie Minogue kinda Disco. Same, I think she looks amazing and I'm here for it.

    Madonna

She confirmed on Instagram that she's currently working on some kind of remix album with Mike Dean and Honey Dijon to celebrate her 50 Billboard Dance Chart number ones!

    Dua Lipa

It's so weird that they put Dua's vocals over Kylie's instead of letting Dua sing her own verse. But the good thing is that the Initial Talk remix (which is the best version of Real Groove anyway) separated them again so you can actually hear Dua. Honestly they should've just used that one and put it on FN: TME.
  15. TASTE! I love all her Kingdom Hearts and Evangelion songs, I even bought some of the vinyl releases!

    Madonna

    That's so cute, thanks!
  17. Madonna is currently in the studio with Mike Dean – the same Mike Dean that produced Wildflower Wildfire! Lemme manifest a Lana x Madonna collab real quick...

    Madonna

I agree that she was more or less trend-hopping with Hard Candy, MDNA and Rebel Heart — but how was Madame X even remotely mainstream? Just because of Future and the Maluma collabs? I mean, come on: She brought back disco pop before everyone else did (God Control), Dark Ballet was more innovative than anything else in pop at the time (and lowkey still is), and I honestly can't think of anything released by a pop artist that is further away from mainstream than Extreme Occident, Killers Who Are Partying, or Ciao Bella. On that album, she literally combined pop, trap, electro-pop, house, disco, fado, batuque, gumbé, Brazilian funk, elements from an Italian protest folk song and even PC Music influences, all the while singing in English, Spanish and Portuguese – and somehow it works. I don't think that's something that can be said about anyone else in pop. Of course, this still doesn't mean that everyone has to like it. I think Madame X is an album that can feel overwhelming or simply "too much" for some people, especially with some of the production choices and the use of autotune for effect (even more so than on American Life, which she also produced with Mirwais 15 years earlier). But if there's one Madonna album that I really wish people gave another try, it's definitely Madame X. Also, while we're at it: Madame X >>> MDNA > Rebel Heart > Hard Candy On another note, I'm super excited for 2022! Not only is she currently in the studio again and working on music with people such as Mike Dean, Swae Lee and Sickick, but we also have the Warner reissue campaign scheduled, and then there's of course the biopic. I think it's gonna be quite a year.

    Dua Lipa

WAIT this version of the Levitating remix slaps! Still glad we ultimately got Missy's verse, though. Also, the more time goes by, the more I appreciate the whole Club Future Nostalgia project. I know the initial response of most people (myself included) was rather mixed, but I ended up absolutely loving it. Probably my favourite remix album ever.

    Dua Lipa

I mean, there are talks of a tour edition being released alongside the Future Nostalgia Tour, perhaps with some more outtakes + Demeanor + Cold Heart + Studio 2054. Yeah, she won't have another Don't Start Now/Levitating kinda hit this era, but there's still gonna be some more stuff for us fans in 2022.
  22. I miss u baby boy pls come back @emilehaynie </3 And bring Justin Parker with u xx
