  1. So much wasted potential. Watched ep 5 last night and I was in a rage before I went to bed. I can't believe they did that. It didn't shock me at all, it just dissapointed me.
  2. Here is what I think is a very unpopular opinion in the rock/metal community. I have never hated on a band for 'changing their sound'. In fact, I usually end up loving them more because I appreciate sound evolution and reinventing style so much, as someone who frequently changes myself. Guess that's just me being all round eclectic. Some of the bands I've never stopped being a huge fan of despite major fights in the fandom over music changing: - Evanescence: The Open Door is my favourite album, and I adore the self titled album so much too. Fallen, being the album everyone obsesses over, is god-given, but it is the least diverse and I really have to be in a sad mood to listen to it nowadays. - Nightwish: I only liked a few songs when Tarja was the singer, but I became a much bigger full-time fan when Anette joined. Imaginarium remains my favourite album. I am not opposied to Floor either. She's amazing. I just "haven't had the time" to get into more of the new stuff. It's on my to do list. - Bring Me The Horizon: their first 2 albums were too much for me, hence I ignored Sempiternal when it came out. Hearing That's The Spirit in full made me a fan and I realised Sempiternal was totally down my alley too. Amo made me a BIG fan and they're now one of my favourites. I think Amo is a genius album. - Within Temptation has always been amazing and so advanced to me. The Unforgiving seemed to divide a lot of fans, even tho it became my favourite over time. I think it's genius concept album. I am a big fan of their new album Resist too and I am so glad they switched up their style again as it saved them as a band. - Bullet For My Valentine gradually lost fans after Fever/Temper Temper. But I loved Temper Temper and I think it's so badly underrated. I caught up on Venom and Gravity more recently and they're back in my favourite bands again. - Linkin Park: it's such a shame that their most genius album A Thousand Suns is overlooked, as well as Living Things which is my favourite. Their sound change honestly saved me and made me who I am. I think One More Light is very special, though it is like Lana's Lust for Life in regards to their previous albums. One More Light (song), Talking To Myself and Sharp Edges are like Lana's Heroin, Cherry and 13 Beaches- amazing additions to their discography. - Sonata Arctica seemed to lose attention after Stones Grow Her Name. They kinda lost mine too in that era even tho it's a fantastic interesting album. But their newer sound in Pariahs Child and The Ninth Hour caught my attention again. It's so ancient yet modern and it's quite superior in that way that its more focused on evolution. I think they are musical geniuses with that piano. Side note: I remember the wars between We Are The Fallen Fans and Evanescence fans (because of Ben Moody). I thought WATF were fantastic and I wish they never dissappered. Omfg god I was the same. That transition omg, I've never heard anyone else acknowledge that <3 About nightwish, I think the only pretentious part was Tarja and the reasons she was kicked out. Is there anything else I'm not aware of?
  3. Yeah her impression is good but it's only because she has the same vocal range. I can hear way too much mumbled Ariana in that impression Same tho, I love her voice and she's incredibly talented. But I only like 3 of her songs. @ the billie eilish thing, ok that does trigger me Lmao cause some eople think anything slightly alternative or dark is just goth lol.
  4. Shit that's scary And I dig the Norse/pagan stuff, so that connection doesn't make sense to me. Whyyh ugh
  5. MGK collab? But I really wanted to hear In Your Car as the Jesse Rutherford collab.
  6. Here goes a little rant... What I hate most in the goth community is people who hate Evanescence and some other not goth bands like Linkin Park JUST because regular people label them as goth. You cannot deny that Evanescence and some other bands that hit the radio opened the gateway for SO many people to become goth for real. Amy Lee herself has said that Evanescence is not goth and is just a rock band and she doesn't like being labelled goth. A goth liking Evanescence does not make them any less goth. But someone thinking that Evanescence is goth does show that they are ignorant to actual Gothic subculture and music. When I hear someone say that Evanescence is goth I don't get triggered, but I do laugh inside because they really don't know what goth is and they are in fact missing out.
  7. Exactly the kind of song I needed right now
  8. I just know this song is gonna be my jam walking to work
  9. Which ones actually are? I've never worried about that. From my experience researching metal bands, most of them are actually great creative people with really positive accepting world views But I guess I always am drawn to the metal bands that sing about nature and spirituality so
  10. Just imagine Lana covering Void tho
  11. Most of us have known about it for a couple of years or more (since after Honeymoon?) But I never heard about it ever being published. I don't think Lana ever spoke about it but she must be cool with it if it's now actually out there
  12. I did a blog post for a rock/grunge album http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/blog/226/entry-1054-rockgrunge-album-concept/ True Love On The Side Kinda Outta Luck Tired Of Singing the Blues Children of the Bad Revolution Mermaid Motel Demo Lolita Demo 1 Heart Shaped Box Cover Brite Lites Steven Mertens Version Angels Forever, Forever Angels Architecture For K, Part 2 Your Girl & Wild One (demo)
  13. Fine China and cherry blossom?? W- What? More like How to dissappear and Baby Blue
  14. Hhaa that was so stupid I think she might have called people but keep in mind that most fans aren't posting all over the internet like we are :')
  15. After watching twice more, I'm still very satisfied with the episode, but there were some things that I think we're missed opportunities: We didn't get to see any of the living characters react to the risen dead characters. Imagine if we had seen dead Hodor, or even just dead Lyanna, Edd or Berric come after someone. Or in the crypts if a dead Ned, Lyanna or Rickon came for Sansa. There were like 5 wight giants in the first scene of Season 7 episode 1. And we only saw 1 last episode. No wight animals like polar bears? C'mon. We didn't get to hear Jon say 'dracarys'. Also, why did Jon just stand up and yell at Viserion? What was he trying to achieve? I think Jon was way out of his head that episode. They also could have used the dragons to decimate most of the incoming dead army in a systematic way before they even clashed with the living army. They could have obliterated at least half that way.
  16. I always think of cola as the title track Even tho ride probably is. I still don't really think it fits with the Born to Die album as "the Paradise Edition" so I always treat it as just an EP
  17. When and how did you discover Harry Potter? Been a fan since the first movie when I was like 6 hhaa What's your favorite film? Order of the Phoenix but lately I've been loving the Half-blood Brince What about your favorite book? Deathly Hallows Who's your favorite character and why? I think Harry really. I love how smart-ass he is and him underestimating his own worth is totally me. Favorite spells? Lumos, incendio, glisseo (I think one only done once in the deathly hallows by Hermione) and muffilato What's your House? Ravenclaw What's your Patronus? A bat! I think I really just love the Harry Potter world more than the books, even though their my second favourite series. I love Ilvermorny too. I've been sorted into Wampus, Horned Serpent and Thunderbird before, but I'd definitely go Horned Serpent. With the wand quiz on Pottermore, I've gotten a different answer for the core and the wood every time (dragon heartstring and pheonix feather, can't remember the woods), but it's always been 'quite flexible'
  18. Ultra Violet

    BANKS

That chorus production is what I've been longing for
  19. Actually I'm starting to think it makes sense that the survivors didn't die cause they did have more experience fighting and trying to survive, even the ones in the crypts. They would have all been looking out for each other, Gilly knows how to survive too and missande has also had to run for her life before. Jorah would always have defended Dany till his death, same with Theon for Bran, and Edd would always have looked out for Sam. Lyanna was just too fucking brave and knew she'd rather die trying to kill the wight giant that would have killed hundreds more. Berric and Melissandre always knew they had this purpose too. So yeah, it makes sense now. There was still so much loss and trauma. I need to find out why that dagger was able to do that too
  20. https://heavy.com/entertainment/2019/04/who-died-game-of-thrones-season-8-episode-3-deaths/ Scroll right to the bottom. I think this is missing some. Wouldnt Alys Karstark have died if she was helping protect Bran? I'm so satisfied with the episode but I realistically think more major characters should have died.
  21. I managed to torrent it on my phone while I was working out in the bush omg I am SO satisfied with Aryas kill. I never believed theories of her doing it but I think that was the best way possible. She was the only one able to sneak up on him. Dany and drogon had no chance doing it. Jon is always silly and wants a fair one on one. And wow Melisandres ending too. It all makes sense!
  22. I think the alternative cover for HM is the best. I'd say Alternative Honeymoon cover > Ultraviolence > Honeymoon > Paradise > AKA > Ultraviolence Alternative > Born to die >>>>>> Lust for life
