lol did you read anything i said? i’m talking about misogynoir and not separating racist attacks from misogyny because they’re two issues that intertwine with each other. it’s a delusion to think you can separate the two issues when talking about black women because they constantly overlap, but it’s even more of a delusion to think that lana faces more misogyny than any black woman ever.

Going back to her point about twigs and the 'whore' thing, can someone please link me to somewhere where Lana was called a whore because i genuinely only remember people making fun of her surgery, lyrics or authenticity. This album title is so fucking unique i’ve never heard anything like this. From the instrumentals on patten leather do-over it would be so beautiful as a haunting Mazzy Star/Raised By Swans vibe. With all of this quarantine stuff and the references of the beach and ocean recently I don’t see anything less than the wooden staircase behind her as she’s walking towards the ocean as an album cover. It will definitely be shot by Chuck though.

eh. i assume it’s about the way critics said her submissive attitude hurt feminism back in 2012. but again, a) this was 2012, only lana fans and lana herself remember how she was treated back then, b) she seemingly can’t make her point in a clear and understandable way without alluding to how she believes other women weren’t getting similarly unfair criticism (which is blatantly untrue) and c) the women she does name drop are majority woc who had to endure racist AND sexist remarks, whereas lana only has to endure the latter

i can’t take her seriously when she seems to forget every woman goes through this shit, and she’s not special in getting unfair criticism. also people are so much quicker to slut shame women of color (bc white women are seen as pure and delicate) so it makes her come across as ignorant.
