I’ve always known Lana wasn’t lying about not coming from money because she’s so honest about things that a lot of people would be ashamed to admit. It’s not like she just popped on the scene out of the blue like an industry plant or a Billie Eilish type character. She was always there, and she met the right people. People just didn’t understand how this beautiful vintage starlet singer could come out of the blue with what seemed like instant success. And now that we have a whole new flood of internet raised children becoming fans it’s like 2012 all over again. At least she’s found her voice now to defend herself

Obviously, no celebrity is obligated to go on record and talk about their childhood, however considering the fact that she consistently chooses to talk about it, isn't it strange how she never states anything that would directly mean she was poor? She never says anything like "we made below the poverty line" or "we ate off food stamps." It's always something like "my parents always argued about money" (every family of every class argues about money) "they called me white trash" (you don't actually have to be white trash for bullies to call you it) "lake placid is a rural town" (you don't have to be poor to live there, it's not like you're talking about a literal ghetto)
All facts point towards her being middle class. Nothing's wrong with that. I don't understand why she doesn't just say "my family didn't finance my career" and instead she feels the need to paint this picture of poverty time and time again

Agreed; everything points to middle class. There is nothing wrong with her acknowledging that. No one thinks any less of her because of it.
Idk if anyone else agrees but I just feel like she's not content with people thinking that and wants us to think she was downright poor? She wasn't. She went to ice skating lessons and out on boats and to Italy on exchange and to whatever that Abercrombie and Fitch thing with Lindsay Lohan was. Those are not things that people from poor backgrounds can afford for their kids to do. I'm not saying life was perfect but whose is?
That rant was very unnecessary. Just say your family was middle class, tell everyone to fuck off, and go.

She really popped off with Capable of Love like it’s so good.

Maybe not underrated but Salvatore is kind of a soft rock masterpiece

That's kinda groundbreaking news ngl but I think it was kinda over a longer time ago since she put Get Free in her Spotify playlist, her mom put NFR title in her bio and Lorde kinda vaguely said that she's in a groupchat with Lana, Taylor and Jack that's interesting though because in QTFC Lana accused "pretentious alt singers for telling that she's glamourizing abuse" and it seemed kinda that she alluded to Lorde with that.
But who cares, what are your favorite songs from Pure Heroin? Mines Bravado and Glory And Gore

Ribs deserves to be in a Top 20 list for best song ever made in the history of music recording.
There’s a lot of music where I go “hmm, they should’ve done this with the synths and that with the background vocals instead” but Ribs is rare, uneditable gold.
Can’t believe it’s 10 years since this record dropped. I was in 11th grade and I remember getting Ribs for free when Apple had their free “iTunes song of the week.” This entire album poetically encapsulates teenagehood, loneliness, and the Fall Season so perfectly. Thank U Lorde + PH for being there when no one else was.

pure heroine is really a testament of 2013 teens! ribs is just sooo real and honest and brutal. It put something in the game (i have no idea what i mean by that but something shifted)
2013 youre more iconic than The big bang

I don't see anything wrong with that statement, she's just trying to distance herself from (early) Lana. I think it's not meant as criticism or attack.
