Before she went to the Brits, I waited outside her hotel and so that she didn't have to sign and could take pictures with people + a present because we'd been waiting there all day, she signed about 30 or so Box-sets and gave them out for free to fans. Barrie gave me mine. It was a beautiful act.

I see this comment come up a lot on the boards. We all know this iconic quote from Lizzy herself.

Well, I thought so, too. I thought my tastes and likes were pretty normal, but then I met everyone and I was like, “These people don’t actually care about music and art. They want to be cool.” I never met anyone who cared about music as deeply as me and my boyfriend, or who really cared about poetry—who really lived it and breathed it. I haven’t met anyone so far. I just can’t affiliate with those people.

Poison Ivy didn't deserve my procrastination so be sure to give it up for her. Her overwhelming lesbian following brought her here but her thoughtfulness and humor backed her up--add the only LanaBoards political campaign in history, however short-lived, and you've got the recipe for a Member of the Month that's been a long time coming!
