  1. I think when Lana has good ideas for a video she ends up cancelling them because they might cause contreversy, like the allegedly cancelled ultraviolence video

I do think Lana's videos are still great though, the Love video was amazing and Honeymoon's videos might've been very low key but I think they were fitting. Ultraviolence's videos are also underrated, I love the west coast video so much, but yea her BTD/paradise era videos were alot more creative

she is marketing dumb bc if it caused controversy she would have better charts and selling and views on her videos

oh dan heath... so a legend then

not all heroes wear capes  :toofunny:  :toofunny:

  3. I feel like her and Greg Kurstin would write some solid stuff. His stuff with Sia is pretty good and isn’t Lana trying to write more accessible music these days as well? He’s perfect :defeated:

Yes they would, I love Sia's songs and just the fact that he co-wrote "The Fear" with Lily Allen only, it already makes him perfect. We would have excellent bops around here!  :omg:  :air:

  4. who?

dan heath - british composer, works oftenly with hans zimmer and produced/co-write:

    • blue jeans
    • national anthem
    • summertime sadness
    • without you
    • ride
    • american
    • body electric
    • gods and monsters
    • yayo
    • bel air
    • ultraviolence
    • fucked my way up to the top
    • old money
    • big eyes
    • once upon a dream
    • life is beautiful

greg kurstin - american producer and songwriter, has lots of awards, produced +co-write MONEY POWER GLORY and also produced/co-wrote:

    • halsey's heaven in hiding, strangers, sorry, angel on fire, devil in me
    • kendrick lamar's track LOVE.
    • zayn's dusk till dawn
    • sia collab with brooke candy - living out loud
    • lots of adele songs
    • lots of sia songs lmao REALLY LOTS AND LOTS
    • lots of tegan and sara songs
    • lots of ellie goulding songs
    • lots of lily allen songs (OH AND VERY IMPORTANT: Lily Allen's "It's Not Me, It's You" was entirely produced by him)
    • marina and the diamonds' starring role, power and control, living dead, sex yeah
    • taylor swift's i wish you would
    • lots of kelly clarkson songs too

So yes, we definitely need them

  5. Y'all let's start predicting when the era will officially start!

So the tour ends April 20 and I predict it'll take 3 months to make, if she's making another cohesive project like Honeymoon:

    Lead single teaser: August 25

    Lead single release: September 14

    Second single: October 3

    Album release: October 18

Or if Lana's mind space shifts (like with LFL and the US political climate) or just wants to take longer with it:

    Lead single teaser: January 12

    Lead single release: January 21

    Second single: February 17

    Album release: March 2

well at least i would have an album for birthday lmao but she could release the album on april or may

  6. Honeymoon would have been the perfect record, perfect, 100% perfect, flawless, if she had chosen a better cover, scrapped DLMBM and worked more on the Honeymoon instrumentals. Those were the only flaws on the record (oh, and not including LIB)

If she already changed the cover + worked more on instrumentals, scrapped GNIT, everything would be perfect

  7. Jack Antanoff is really hot right now with musicians. Lordes Melodrama was nominated for AOTY and Taylors Reputation has outsold. maybe Lana feels that her persona and aethetic can create an album that outsells everything . its a smart move because i have always heard Lanas voice on a Jack track , his production is glorious too.

    also:

    • co-wrote and produced BANKS' single "Crowded Places"
    • co-wrote and produced St. Vincent's album Masseduction
    • co-wrote some songs from Taylor Swift's 1989 (Out of the Woods, I Wish You Would and You Are In Love)
    • produced Taylor Swift's album 1989, AOTY winner
    • dumped problematic fuck Lena Dunham
    • co-wrote and produced "I Don't Wanna Live Forever", song recorded for the movie Fifty Shades Darker
    • Lead guitarist of the band Fun.

he is a good guy and I hope he is producing and writing with Lana

  8. all tea all shade. i posted and asked this either on this thread or somewhere else but really how much does her label control her artistic output in the end even tough she says her record deal lets her do whatever she want? like im sure she wrote political songs that went more in-depth than Cockroach - Wood On My Mind. how much would one bet they rejected the "4 Political Songs Take-Outs" she talked about a few months ago

and at the same time, she needs to go big or go home with these "world conscious songs" that are outside of her lyrical universe

like imagine her writing this. her poli songs weren't boring.. just too vague, not straightforward. Someone here said that pulling out a Bob Dylan would be weird yes, but she didn't reach the middle where these themes would comfortably sit in her discography. One could feel as if she wrote these songs to be #relevant (which wasn't the purpose of couse )

I'm the biggest hypocrite of 2015

Once I finish this, witnesses will convey just what I mean

Been feeling this way since I was 16, came to my senses

You never liked us anyway, fuck your friendship, I meant it

    I'm African-American, I'm African

I'm black as the moon, heritage of a small village

    Pardon my residence

Came from the bottom of mankind

My hair is nappy, my dick is big, my nose is round and wide

    You hate me don't you?

You hate my people, your plan is to terminate my culture

You're fuckin' evil I want you to recognize that I'm a proud monkey

You vandalize my perception but can't take style from me

And this is more than confession

I mean I might press the button just so you know my discretion

I'm guardin' my feelins, I know that you feel it

You sabotage my community, makin' a killin'

You made me a killer, emancipation of a real :)

The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice

The blacker the berry, the bigger I shoot

I said they treat me like a slave, cah' me black

Woi, we feel a whole heap of pain, cah' we black

And man a say they put me in a chain, cah' we black

Imagine now, big gold chain full of rocks

How you no see the whip, left scars pon' me back

But now we have a big whip, parked pon' the block

All them say we doomed from the start, cah' we black

Remember this, every race start from the block, just remember that

i just wanted to say that 'the blacker the berry' is one of my kendrick's fav songs

YES SHE DEAD ASS SAID THAT . she stated something in an interview like "in the early process of the album we produced Heroin , wanting the album to have the same sound or thinking it would have the same sound."

    tenor.gif?itemid=5157736

  9. i forgot where but remember when Lana said that the original sound for LFL was gonna revolve around Heroin . IMAGINE . honestly though i want a cohesive album like the ones before LFL . i want the same sound, mood, etc. Honeymoon is so fucking dreamy . UV is so dark and sexy . BTD is glamorous and rich in production. LFL experimented A LOT with sounds .

DID SHE SAID THAT????????? IM FUCKING SAD HOLY SHIT WE WOULD HAVE THE ALBUM OF THE DECADE  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :toofunny:  :deadbanana:  :deadbanana:    :deadbanana:  :crossed:  :crossed:  :crossed:  :crossed:

:rip:  here lies LFL good concept  :rip:

but yeah at least we got lots of things and now we understand that she can do pretty much anything.. but dam fuck

  10. ^ stop trying to make Strawberry Fields Forever a thing. It's one of the worst Beatles song EVER

    no it's not

listen to "I Am The Walrus"

~~jk off topic but yeah sff is not that good at all lmao~~

I don't care at all about an album with unreleased songs, but I wouldn't mind lmao.............................................................
