  1. I first heard Born to Die when I was sitting on my bed with a current (terrible) boyfriend and I came across the video on Youtube. I was instantaneously obsessed with it. It was the end of 2011. I was a junior in high school. I showed my parents the song and my dad was already familiar with Lana because he had heard Video Games on his radio station and loved it. I have a very deep love for my dad so this made me so happy. From ages 13-18 I had a hard time socially. I didn't know who I was, or how to act, or how to fit in. By the time I was a junior/senior in high school I felt very tortured mentally and emotionally. Everyone in school had close relationships and I didn't have that nor did I know how to form those bonds with people. Lana's music was something I could escape to because I didn't have anyone. I still remember listening to the album for the first time the day it was released in the US. I had a long bus ride to my high school so I got to listen to most of it and I loved it. She is the only artist I have been faithfully devoted to since 2011. Her music has shaped me, comforted me, saddened me, and raised me up from dark emotions. I'll be 27 this year and it has been nice to think about how far I have come in a decade when I look back to my younger self who was so desperately sad.
  2. This is absolutely sending me
  3. I love Breaking Up Slowly so I am excited for this.

  5. the tractor cover one? I received mine
  6. Every single song for me is strong except Beautiful which is still fine but is a little weaker than the rest for me. I still enjoy it though. But seriously a strong album in my opinion.
  7. I try not to rank her albums anymore because they are all great and offer different things. Born to Die is grandiose and exciting. Paradise is darker and elegant. Ultraviolence is even darker, more raw. Honeymoon is very refined. LFL is a great collection of various sounds. NFR is a chill, coastal California sound. Chemtrails feels like a cabin in a winter setting in the midwest. Blue Banisters encompasses several things from heartbreak to family, and offers a deeper look at Lana's past and mindset. They are all great albums, and I don't think they can be compared. They all bring me joy.
  8. Without exaggeration, it is my favorite album cover she has ever done. I never get more than the CD but this era I ordered every vinyl and CD. I love it so much.

    Taylor Swift

I wasn't a Taylor Swift stan before but I am now. The 10 minute All Too Well could go on for another 10 minutes and I would not even be mad. Her best song. Also I would love a 10 minute version of Cardigan.
  10. Bitch me too. First of all send me my vinyl, secondly they aren't carrying the original CD in stores so I had to order it online.
  11. Dance me all around the moon Like six times til I'm sick and I cry
  12. My fiancé said this is a good album and his favorite is Dealer
  13. Black Bathing Suit today, tomorrow, and when I was young, til eternity
  14. Does anyone have a screenshot of the post where she explained that the album is how it was, what it was like, etc.? I can’t remember when she posted that on Instagram
  15. I received the profile shot CD and vinyl and the white vinyl today. I caved and ordered the smiling dogs CD and the black vinyl. So once those come and my target vinyl comes I’ll have all of them, which I’ve never done for her releases before. The hold this album has on me
  16. This album really doesn't have any skips. All the songs are wonderful and memorable for me. I can't say the same for COCC, where only a few stuck out to me- the title track, White Dress, Yosemite mostly.
