Ok excitement has been renewed I went against my no snippet rule and listened to the live stream and holy shit HtD sounds amazing

I've been a low key fan since I heard Bellyache and Ocean Eyes sometime last year. I didn't realize she had released an EP so I downloaded it recently and wow! It's so good. My favorite is Watch but they're all good. But holy shit when the party's over is one of favorite songs ever. And that video is so cool. I stan

For me it’s her mid range voice lacking emotion. Leaves much to be desired. I was excited when she announced MAC, excitement dimmed slightly with VB, and then almost completely left when I heard the snippet for How to Disappear. I haven’t listened to other snippets but it sounds like those have mid range vocals too. It’s a let down for me.

If she’s going to tease all these songs just drop the album.

Could it be for an MGK album and not Lana's album? I won't listen to the snippet so have no opinion on it, but could this be a possibility?

Oh I'm totally fine with released songs! It's the snippets that throw it off for me, I have realized.

I only listened to the snippet for How to Disappear twice, and I will not listen to Cinnamon snippets. I want to (hopefully) listen to the album almost in full and be hearing most of the songs for the first time. With BTD I had heard 3 songs prior, Paradise I heard 1 song before release, Ultraviolence was 1 song, Honeymoon was 3 songs. She teased so much during Lust for Life that listening to the whole album wasn't the same. It didn't have the same magic for me, so I really want that experience this time. If she releases another song I will listen to that, but no more snippets for me!

Yeah these vocals started with Lust for Life, which is why the album felt a little different from the others. And now she has continued that same vocal range, and I’m not as excited for this album. Which is a shame, because the lyrics are amazing. It’s their delivery that is a bit lackluster

This is exactly what I have been thinking but wasn't sure how to articulate it. She doesn't have as much emotion in her singing. Like Chelsea Hotel No 2 is sort of stripped back production but she doesn't sound emotionless.
