Honeymoon is timeless - it is Lana's most sophisticated, matured, and introspective album to date (it's almost impressive that she released this prior to LFL and NFR, almost like has she regressed in some way). I feel as though Honeymoon is her most vulnerable album, and I truly don't understand how people could hate this album or call it boring, they just haven't listened closely. This was an amazing review <3

Not an unpopular opinion but I’m just gonna quickly hype up her early unreleased work lol - I think their lyricism and imagery and subject matter were so fucking brilliant and I think they are so special to me heavily in part bc of the context in which they were made: Lana pre-fame, pure of heart I stg, gunning so hard for her dreams, and it’s so incredibly inspiring bc I feel like I’m in that stage of my life rn where I’m on the cusp of who I could n wanna be

imagine being so *obsessed* with a woman's looks that you scrutinize every aspect of her body that you feel doesn't align with your definition of beauty. lana is wearing what she is comfortable in and is embracing her beautiful natural figure, why shame her? its lit rally so embarrassing that some people on here are getting worked up about her belly fat (did people forget your metabolism slows down when youre in your 30s...), or the fact that she doesn't look youthful... get a life maybe?

also -- women in media are constantly looked at through a magnifying glass and picked apart for simply existing. I cant imagine how exhausting and nerve racking it must be trying to live up to these insane beauty standards, especially as a woman in their mid thirties. give her a break.

This is literally the unpopular opinions thread and ppl are trying to shut down discussing unpopular (in the fandom) opinions abt Lana... guess we should go back to "I think NFR is subpar omg" "omg I think Coachella is a bop actually". Everyone here was, at some point, in the trance that comes w idolising celebrities, and that celeb happened to be Lana. That interest doesn't magically go away when the trance stops and you see their flaws and the harm those flaws perpetuate. When the only argument against ppl calling out her white feminism / racism is "this is lanaboards go somewhere else" it's... telling.

Lana's letter made me so emotional and her words were so comforting. I no longer talk to my mother anymore and its draining what lengths I have to go through to justify why when people ask me bc very few understand and those who don't can be judgy

also- idk why people are saying shes being shady? shes being honest about her complex relationship with her mother? theres obviously a reason why they are not close..

and its interesting how people think lana should have kept this private... its not like she didn't choose to share this with us? Stans have done crazy things to find out private details of her personal life - but when she chooses to share something its offensive? make it make sense

lana is a very private person so I don't think her being honest about her mother is making "everything" public....

stans have done insane things to get lana's personal details and for once she opens up about her mother and suddenly it doesn't "benefit" fans? what does that even mean? fans "gain" something when lana shares something "good" about her life? if lana were to open up about an ex or a sibling or a friend would you be saying the same thing?
  24. californianfreak liked a post in a topic by jazzsinger in Instagram Updates
and whats wrong with that? what is wrong with the public knowing that? it seems like a lot of effort to get offended by lana being honest about her relationship with her mother
  25. californianfreak liked a post in a topic by jazzsinger in Instagram Updates
what? she isn't allowed to be honest about her relationship with her mother? its her social media - she is allowed to post about whatever and whoever...

you're acting like she is shit talking her mom when in fact she wrote a very lovely comforting letter to women everywhere who may not have your typical mother-daughter relationship lol... don't know why this offends you

hmmm... theres a difference between writing a letter to women who have complex relationships with their mothers (we exist) and writing a letter stating that you don't like your mother. its not really a cry for help - but rather a comforting letter to those who may be hurting on this day for whatever reason
