calling a 31 track album with not-short songs a cash grab is such a weird take... in today's age and time where tiktok and reels has shortened our attention span to 2 seconds, a 2 hour album with an average track time of 4 minutes is certainly not the way to go

I need to relistening but I'm rearranging The Tortured Poets Department and then the second disc I'm gonna call it Manuscript as Side B.

LOL, but even that isn't perfectly exclusive (In Germany, the artist store has the "phantom clear" vinyl, so it's still not exclusive to target - US exclusive maybe? 😅).
Btw, the US store currently seems to have "ghosted white" only. Did they never offer the clear one, for a Ltd time?

so just like the 1989 tv alt cover cds, these will probably be available as retail exclusives worldwide

Seeing this performance really makes you understand how she ended up with Elon Musk

Come on... American Requiem, Blackbird, Protector, 16 Carriages, Texas Hold 'Em, II Most Wanted, Levii's Jeans, II Hands II Heaven, Ya Ya. Jolene... There are soo many songs that slap.
That said, I go back to Bodyguard the most too.

oh I’m sorry I meant the “non-limited edition”. I’m guessing at some point there will be a vinyl that’s sold in stores like there was for Renaissance - probably not for a while since it seems it hasn’t been made yet - but when it is made I hope everything is on it

You just know SOPHIE would have so much fun producing / remixing / being around this record. Miss her daily!

It leans most heavy into country and folk but as she said, it's a BEYONCE album. There's two specific moments that discuss the idea of genre bending.
As a Mexican American with deep southern ties, this is such a beautiful project for me. Her voice is the best it's ever been and there's so much to sink your teeth into--you can tell as always she did her homework + worked with great collaborators. The GP will obviously go for the more upbeat tracks, but the most country cuts are some of the ones I see myself going back to often.
A more than worthy follow up to Act I. I hope it gives an extra push in the industry to black country singers.
Also here's a nice quick read ("The daughter who eclipses the father" is a beautiful sentiment for this three act project): https://time.com/6960671/beyonce-black-country-legacy-essay/
