Halsey's response to being dropped and not renewed by Capitol:

I have to say, Capitol is crazy. I'm wondering if Halsey completed her obligations to her contract. The fact that they didn't renew a hard working artist like Halsey, but refused to drop Sky. It's just crazy. Make it make sense.

not capitol trying to sabotage halsey as well and saying that no one will sign her... like at least we have confirmation that they are petty enough to never release sky. she will probably be signed to capitol until she dies

I'm here for all the Capitol records drama even from Halsey fans.
This article was what brought this reaction from this H fan:

Much buzz surrounds Capitol’s tough decision not to renew the label’s deal for Halsey, with whom it had significant success in pre-COVID times. Her deal was renegotiated by the short-lived prior Capitol administration when the artist was still hot. Halsey’s 2020 album, Manic, did almost 3m in activity and was the justification for an expensive re-up; 2021 follow-up If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, by contrast, has done just under 600k. Many gatekeepers considered that album, helmed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, a major misstep, an ill-fated attempt to be cool that alienated fans. A $25m+ unrecouped position, according to the scuttlebutt, was the straw that broke the camel’s back with respect to an artist who hasn’t streamed strongly for the past few years. Halsey’s UMPG deal was also discontinued. When the artist and label are no longer on the same page and collaboration is at a dead end, those unrecouped monies leave a decidedly bitter taste—and render labels inclined to write the whole thing off and move on rather than throw more money at the problem. These are simply more unintended consequences of the new ecosystem, combined with the rise of social media as a means to publicly air one’s dirty laundry. “It’s been an incredible eight years,” read a statement from Halsey issued when the news of her exit broke. “We wish everyone the best.”

It seems that it was Capitol records who decided to not renew Halsey's contract. They lost 25 millions dollars on If I Can't Have Love I Want Power album.

No wonder Sky is pissed and doesn't want to release her album. She wants a 25 million dollar budget too.

If the era isn't being rolled out the way she wants it, she prefers keeping the music shelved. She confirmed that herself in that comment a few days ago. How crazy is that? I don't know how Free Sky can continue to support her when Sky is the reason why the album is shelved. There's no Sky to free up but Sky herself.

Exactly. That's how Katy and Halsey has played it and look at all the music they released. Sky refused to cooperate with an entity that not only has the money but pretty much owns her music.

Sky really believes she's Madonna Vol 2 making  demands with a "proper roll out" crap.

it's still giving dog ate my homework. like petra collins who allegedly worked on the video just decided to hoard it and prevent its release for what reason? and then to post clips of it or whatever (where? i would like to see it) and poke holes in her own story? okay. there's no receipts for this anywhere as far as i'm aware

i've said this before but capitol not funding masochism production is something i could believe because they didn't for ntmt either but sky herself has provided a lot of mixed messages with regard to this. she's repeatedly posted clips of songs that she has implied are ready for release and said she wants to put them out. she's also said she's still writing which is obviously not indicative of a finished product. neither of these explanations suggest that the reason for the holdup is because capitol won't support her financially. consider that in a decade pretty much the entirety of the album has leaked and the majority of the songs are not even close to being finished. the songs that are finished have been released. if she hasn't turned the material in then that's out of the label's control. like is she really doing her job? we only have her word to go on and she's consistently contradicting herself. i don't doubt for a second that capitol sucks and has made things extremely difficult for her but there's so much reason to believe she's just making excuses

Those kind of people never do anything in life and have a false sense of superiority. Katy and Halsey are one in a million and Sky is in the majority of struggling artists who refuse to "sell out" a.k.a. stop being stubborn for the sake of their career. I know a person who's a talented painter and musician but refuses to make a profit because it may affect they way they create art. Same energy. Guess what, they're jobless, so is Sky in a way.

Also, Sky reminds me a little of Madison Beer. Everyone she's associated with went on to become an A/B lister and she's stuck in the upcoming artist/well known influencer stage.

I'm just saying she isn't hungry because she's being taken care of somehow or else she'd come out and do some collaboration for Capitol or whatever it takes to not sleep on the streets. She's fine. She didn't need to finish high school for her wellbeing.
