  1. Hm, I see. I used my credit card but they haven't charged me yet, so I'm hoping they'll do that soon.
  2. I haven't seen him online for like two years, but I hope he's okay.
  3. The only thing I look forward to next week is Lana's release, but I'm 90% sure I won't be relaxed enough to fully enjoy it.
  4. Just curious, has anyone who preordered from Lana's German store been charged yet?
  5. I don't think I'll watch it all tonight since the video is very long (and she's been focusing at least 15-20 minutes on only the pictures and photos) but I think she has some good points, and some I don't agree with. Feeling disappointed to find out that the good-looking photographs werent' taken by Lana when it clearly says in the book that they're not taken by her is... eh. I mean, you can kinda tell they're taken by a professional and that Lana's are most likely snapped on her phone. I don't really think Lana's photos are the best either, but I can accept them because I think she wants to share everyday moments of her life. Especially, California but not the Hollywood version of it with all the glamour. And the author portrait was taken with her phone as a selfie, no doubt. Again, I think it was a consious decision and, I mean, thinking back to some of the cover arts of her singles... Yes, she's a millionaire and could hire a real photographer to take her portrait. But, I guess it wouldn't match the more down-to-earth, somewhat fragile story she's telling in her poems. You think that I'm rich, and I am, but not how you think. Doesn't mean that I don't dislike the photo though. I was really disappointed when I saw it. And I don't know anything about the publisher, but I think it was kinda rude to not assume that Lana has written and re-written some of her poems to create a better version of them. I agree with her about fillers though. It's fun to look at her notes, but they're not always necessary, and the one-page, very minimal lines-poems are some of my least favorites too. I think she had a good point that they might have been better if they had been matched with another photo, one that somewhat matches the poem or contradicts it and makes you think a little. The fillers are kind of what I hope to see less of in the next book. Now, I haven't watched the entire video, but I was hoping she's mention beat poetry and talk about that since Lana's mentioned in the past about liking it. (and I'm far from an expert on beat poetry, but I think we can see some influences of it in Lana's work here?) I definitely think she's the wrong audience for the book, which is a bit sad since that could mean that Lana's poetry won't reach others outside the fandom. (which I guess we already knew)
  6. @That Venice Bitch Could you take it down? I don't think we should share personal accounts meant for friends and family either.
  7. Just letting you know that I moved this thread to “Lana thougts” since I think it fits better here than in the news section. Thanks for the list! It’ll definitely be useful to go back to, haha.
  8. I just want to add a small note regarding using English. This is an online fan forum, with fans from all over the world. Some of us here have grown up hearing, speaking and reading English since we were toddlers, while others have been taught in school (or elsewhere) and are still learning. I'm confident in my English language skills, but I, too, am still learning. There are still times when I go back and edit something I've written that could've been formulated better. Some of LanaBoards' users are 40 years old or older, some of the users here are 15 (or perhaps even younger - I'm not sure since we don't really have data on it). What I mean to say is that it's only natural that we're on different skill levels when it comes to mastering a language, so please be kind to each other here. I want everyone to feel welcome to share their thoughts and excitement, even if they're not very confident in writing in English. This website is an excellent place to have fun while practicing your English. The guidelines encourages all users to use English so everyone can have the opportunity to join a discussion and not feel left out. Now, I hope we can leave this behind us and continue being hyped for the album!
  9. Friendly reminder to follow the guidelines and use English when writing posts. <3

    Inhaler

I’m honestly surprised the UK allows festivals and concerts lol, but maybe it’s just me who’s afraid of catching the virus and spreading it, I dunno. I’m definitely the only one in class wearing a mask when we have lectures on campus and group meetings. I’d love to go to concerts but, well, I’m just not comfortable enough to go yet although I’m fully vaccinated.

Yeah it’s a shame, going to a (cheap!) concert in their hometown would’ve been awesome. It’s just that the delta variant of the virus honestly scares me, and then I have an exam on the day before or on the same day as the concert, which doesn’t make it easier for me to go lol.
  12. I listened through the new album last week, I think I’ll do again today or next week! I need to familiarize myself with it more.

    Inhaler

So I've been thinking and I'm gonna sell my tickets for Inhaler's Dublin concert on December 21st. Let me know if you're interested, I thought I'd ask you guys here first since we all really like their music.
  14. @moonbeam monsoon Thank you for the likes!
  15. For a uni assignment. I felt like making a creepy fish boy so here he is.
  16. I was making masks this summer and wanted to decorate some of them. I thought of putting the words "born to die" with fabric paint on one but then I changed my mind, thought it might be a bit on the nose if people don't get the reference.
  17. I definitely think you should make a streaming party thread and we can continue the discusison there, haha.
  18. The new Chemtrails vinyl is really pretty, but I think I’ll pass since I’m not too fond of the album.
  19. @Whore of Tropico Wait, what do you need my opinion on, I'm confused. Time zones? Sounds like a fun idea if we can get people outside of LB to join too.
  20. Has anyone ordered from Universal Germany before? They still haven't charged me for my pre-order, it's still pending in my bank, and when I read the customer service F&Q's, they say I have to make sure I let them know my order number when I make my payment? How am I supposed to do that when I'm waiting for them to charge my credit card, I don't get it? This is my second time trying to order from them (first time earlier this year, a picture disk by Inhaler - I might try to get it again later when I have money to waste again) and I don't want it to end the same way, me waiting for them to charge me and nothing happens, and my order gets cancelled. (But then again, that first time, they told me my order never went through since I never got a confirmation e-mail, but I did get to the "thank you for your purchase!" page.... Luckily, I got both the page and confirmation e-mail this time.)
