I hope she has somewhat of a "Serene Queen" vibe to this album, I want something real badbitch energy,
or even the vibe in Dance Till We Die where she is kind of screaming/singing "I left SAN FRANCISCO ... I DON'T MIND TAWLKIN SHIT"

I feel like this record will sound like Breaking Up Slowly, especially with that really smoky, dark, bluesy guitar. Since she kind of implied it was born out of having a close circle of country music friends - Nikki Lane being the most notable - I could see her further endeavouring on that bluesy-rock sound with very earnest, narrative-driven lyrics that are typically found within country songs. 

no ben and ed didn't like it but @/tapmusic did. maybe a misguided intern  the delusion in me says they liked it on the formal account cause it's very real and true

I don't think the album's really missing anything, but whoever said they could see Yes To Heaven as Track 8 between NAWWAL and Yosemite has me swooning now. That would have been so dreamy, lol.

Three weird album rollouts convinced me she never learns from her past mistakes lol 
the only thing preserving all my love for her is the constancy in her music.

the kind up upbeat instrumentals with bitter, sarcastic lyrics and vocals that would be perfect for an album called rock candy sweet

However I do think this will be her most different album yet, especially if it was all written during an angry and defensive point in her life. She doesn’t have many songs with those emotions I don’t think - even UVs more passionate songs were more about fallout from relationships and such which is different imo

I hope the lyricism isn’t cheesy or blatantly just terrible. I’m curious to see how she’s gonna capture her anger in this album. Also, I don’t believe Jack will work on this because of the image she’s going for. Part of me feels like Jack likes to be loved by EVERYONE including the media. For him to produce a revenge album calling out names Lana will go for someone whom she’s closer to a la Rick or Zach... maybe even Dan since they were able to channel some anger in some of those tracks. 

Although I'm not getting excited just yet, it could explain why COCC is so short. Maybe she did record a lot of songs but felt they were more cohesive in two separate albums

- the album will be completely/largely produced by Zach Dawes
- Dealer will be on here
- "Grenadine Quarantine" and "If this is the end I want a boyfriend" were possibly made with Zach Dawes and could be on this record
 
- the genres are mainly California Rock and Country Rock but it's still Lana's way
- the title is inspired by "Rock Candy" by Montrose, a Californian hard rock band
 
 
- other inspirations include The Rolling Stones, especially the record "Sticky Fingers" that includes songs like Brown Sugar and Wild Horses
- we were given a taste of the Country Rock side of the record on the song "Dance Till We Die"
- Breaking Up Slowly wasn't the last collaboration with Nikki Lane
 
Edit: I think her brother Charlie will do a lot of the visuals for this album (interview mag video & beans vibes)
