  1. That’s true! I was thinking of Rick in that he co-wrote/composed some of the songs too, much like how Jack helped write some of the music (offering chord progressions) on top of the production
  2. Omg ? I love it so much, your gif game is unmatched
  3. This gif is terrifying - what kind of melted-Reese’s-Peanut-Butter-cup-hairstyle is this...
  4. I love Jack’s production so much, but I think it makes sense that she would work with another producer this time for a few reasons: 1) Jack is still in New Jersey and is unable to come to LA because of the pandemic - this halted the process of Chemtrails a bit towards the end, and naturally, Lana being nervous about that record, would not want to have those limitations of proximity be a concern again. 2) She said to Annie Mac that she was hoping to see if the covers album with Zach Dawes would “spark anything” - obviously, Zach seems to have been her go-to producer since the pandemic happened, as they made Dealer, 2 cover albums, Summertime the Gershwin Version, a live version of Let Me Love You Like a Woman for Fallon, and possibly a whole original studio album together. 3) Lana always works with the same producer(s) for no more than two albums: Rick Nowels, Dan Heath: - Born to Die/Paradise (with additional production from Emile Haynie, Justin Parker) - the original Ultraviolence (before the rework with Dan Auerbach) Rick Nowels: - Honeymoon - Lust for Life Jack Antonoff: - Norman Fucking Rockwell! - Chemtrails Over the Country Club 4) Obviously Lana has been going to a studio in LA and has an album finished/close to being finished - a “revenge” album points to a fuller-sound with guitars, and Lana mentioned to Music Week that she loves bluesy, outlaw music inspired by her country music friends and other country idols of hers. Zach, having produced her country covers album, would be the most obvious choice as a producer since the covers album likely bled into the process for this country-esque album that Lana has implied LDR8 will be.
  5. Yes - it’s still available on Lana’s store at the moment but I believe they’re on backorder/out of stock? I believe they’ve been coming and going over the last year and a half but I’d snag one as soon as possible! And yes, I wouldn’t say it’s as exclusive as the COTCC Spotify picture disc. That seems to be one of the rarest this time!
  6. Since there are so many variants this time, I feel like they will all be equal in terms of rarity to the blue NFR, red HM, and coke bottle clear LFL vinyl records. I mean, I got all 3 of those variants when they were first released and the re-sale price/availability of them is crazy compared to when I first bought them. If you don’t want to or are unable to get all of the Chemtrails variants, then I would suggest just getting whichever one(s) you like best because eventually, they will be considered rare compared to the standard black vinyl. At the moment, I’d assume the gray, transparent, and green would be the most accessible since they’re from Lana’s store/UO and historically, the variants from there would be readily available until the next album kind of swings into full cycle, and then I doubt the alternative cover with the red vinyl is going anywhere for a while since it’s an exclusive at multiple retailers. The yellow, beige and 3 picture discs I would think are the rarest (especially the Spotify picture disc). I ordered mine from The Sound of Vinyl UK in January before the standard picture disc went up on Lana’s site: https://thesoundofvinyl.com/*/Shop-Exclusive-Vinyl/Chemtrails-Over-The-Country-Club-Exclusive-Picture-Disc/6UPQ10LB000 Hopefully that helps! <3
  7. https://www.instagram.com/p/CMu4pDahIWc/?igshid=1tt9uccvubfx1 Courtney Love liked a bunch of comments on her recent post from the studio, including ones asking if she has a collaboration with Lana on Rock Candy Sweet. Since she seems to be liking a lot of random comments, I would NOT take this as confirmation that she is featured on the album (much like how Nicole Nodland liked comments about her shooting the COTCC album cover ) but I think it’d be amazing if she was!
  8. I love her! And these are actually my favourite songs of hers - I actually discovered her from this site when someone posted about her three years ago! <3 This sound would be perfect for RCS, my friend
  9. Was thinking the same, my friend.. hands down my favourite era on LB ?
  10. Truck pics were anytime from July 26th-July 30th - I’m almost certain of it because she had sparkly pink nails and the freshly-dyed gray-blonde hair from Tulsa, and posted the first Tik Tok snippet with that look on July 31st after she came home to LA on July 26th (and we got candids of her leaving a 7-11 in CA on July 27th) whereas Interview Mag was from July 2-3 because she had fuller lash extensions (as opposed to mascara from the truck pics) baby blue acrylics, and a slightly warmer, honey blonde shade with darker roots
  11. And the “Bodega Bae” selfie with the bronze-y makeup, dangly feather diamond earrings, and blonde up-do from the same day! Etienne was there and did at least 2 makeup looks, while Sheridan did her hair, and we know there were at least 2 outfits - that couldn’t have been for nothing!
  12. LOL I don’t even know what I’d say- but on a serious note - I don’t think so, because she said she’s going to be challenging accusations of cultural appropriation and her glamorizing domestic abuse with this record, so that sounds like she’s written songs in response to the media’s reports about her
  13. I think the fact that Ben and Ed spoke about the “two albums” Lana “has in mind” to Music Week makes this feel more real. They’ve said before that they don’t have Lana run things by them before she posts to social media, but the fact that 1) a *custom* typeface was made (which would have to involve her team) and 2) was used in a social media announcement following 3) her managers discussing her next album(s) and 4) a “plan” that she’s had for years that just now they think can be pulled off, leads me to believe that something that has been brewing will actually come to fruition.
  14. Ohhh that’s true, maybe Ellie did the roses and Kathleen did the script? Since Ellie specifically mentioned doing the roses for RCS! I can’t wait to see what else she did for this album!
  15. Ohhh my bad! I thought it was Kathleen because of Lana’s comment under her post announcing LMLYLAW but it’s possible I misremembered or she misspoke lol. Thanks!
  16. Yes, I would think so! We know it’s definitely in the works or is finished and she said the release date is June 1st so hopefully that ends up being true! Now that an actual font was commissioned for it, it seems more likely that the date will be honoured!
  17. I think Kathleen Heffernan did the LMLYLAW font/red Chemtrails logo in the same style and Ellie did the VBBOTG and COTCC album cover fonts, so that’s why, but yes! Confirmation!!
  18. Just linking this for people who want to see her post - https://www.instagram.com/p/CMxNTJUhn55/ Thanks for the find! <3 she thanked Lana and her team so I guess it is a somewhat-planned thing at least!
  19. I’m not really sure how insiders even accessed Chemtrails in the summer, but I don’t remember any insiders knowing about NFR before it came out and I think that has to do with Jack being in New Jersey and Lana being in LA, so this time, files were being sent around via email and that was somehow intercepted? I’m not sure. But my guess is that since Jack was able to fly out to LA to work on the music with Lana in 2018/2019, there was a more secure process of getting the music from the studio to the mastering site? And I guess since Zach or Rick or whoever she did this album with IS in LA, there was/is no interception?
  20. And Chemtrails! It just came out and I know there are so many layers to it that I have yet to unravel - I’m totally not in need of yet another album, especially when we just got a GORGEOUS one
  21. So much to believe in, call me Cher Same - even though I do try to look forward to a date, I am hyper-aware of the fact that there is totally a chance it won’t be happening but I do think my points are valid enough to at least try and rationalize what Lana’s process could be! LOL September 5th really was our Judgement Day
  22. Aw, thanks! I hope so too, I would love that! I think you’re right about it being pre-meditated. To us, it feels super fast but Lana works very quickly and had recorded her vocals/written all the songs that ended up on Chemtrails by February 2020. A whole year passed between that and the album’s release, and we know she’s always writing, so it totally makes sense that she has had content for this record as early as the beginning of the pandemic. Plus, Dealer being a song done with Zach before July 2020 leads me to believe that other songs were born out of those sessions, as well as alongside the cover albums she did with him. I think the majority of Chemtrails was done in a 6-7 month-span in 2019, so she totally could have done a whole album over the last 12 months! Me too!
  23. I think Ariana Grande released two albums within six months of each other, right? If Chemtrails didn’t have any vinyl delays and she knew right off the bat that Dealer would be saved for the next album, then it would have come out in September, and then she would have naturally continued this process of making Rock Candy Sweet in time for its alleged June release, leaving a nice 9 months between them - so I guess the less-than-3 month difference between COTCC and RCS is somewhat justified in that things with COTCC just didn’t align with the original plan?
