Fuck the juries. The one time we had a chance of winning and they let the hag win again just so she can have some boost for her otherwise lackluster career for another year.
On a more positive note, at least our king will be remembered and loved.

The first Finnish representer in my life that I'm actually happy with and want so much to win or end up at least in top 3. Discovered him back in like 2019 so I'm so happy he's a huge phenomenon here right now and that he's so loved in the ESC community as well.

The studio version of Tattoo has grown on me a lot and I like the concept of Loreen's Melodifestivalen performance but the live vocals just feel somewhat burdensome to listen to.

Haven't said anything yet because I wanted the album mature for a bit but that said, I've been listening to it like crazy and I love it. There's not a single bad track on the album and it feels so short after the 75 minutes of Utopia and the three interludes. However I do have to say that Ovule and especially Allow pale in comparison to the rest - Ovule is kind of forgettable in the bigger picture and despite being cute, Allow definitely feels like the Utopia outtake that it is and is immediately overshadowed by Fungal City which is one of the cutest and homeliest tracks, definitely one of the record's highlights.
Victimhood is amazing, it reminds me of late Jóhann Jóhannsson's work at times and gives Hans Zimmer's Blade Runner 2049 score vibes. I was astonished by Freefall, her vocals are so good in the first half but oh my god the strings in the second half are so beautiful. Atopos is a good opening track and sets the mood for the record quite well, and the title track remains one of the superior tracks on the record - despite me listening to it like a lunatic the outro is still so insane. When I first listened to the record in full I listened to my CD rip which has Ican's vocals on the title track and I found them distracting and they watered the outro down for me so I'll just keep listening to the digital version with B's vocals only.
Summa summarum, despite me expecting just a little more gabber it's a cohesive body of work, quality from beginning to the end and I'll spend a lot more time listening to it. That said it's too early to know where I would rank it in her discography but as for the time being it's a bop and I doubt I'll change my mind about it being so. However I would trade Allow for a longer Trölla-Gabba with vocals, Allow is so repetitive turning it into an interlude instead wouldn't take anything away from it.

Thank god Sindri really ended up just doing backing vocals and not actual verses just as I hoped
Tbh I could've been good without the glockenspiel(?) and just the strings and beats but it's beautiful nevertheless. Can't wait for it to grow on me once I listen to it more (on my second one rn...)
Also for those who haven't read the Pitchfork article we'll be getting a video for the song as well, shot by a volcano

After listening a few times it's definitely got a different vibe than SAWAYAMA but in a good way, feels a bit more mature than its predecessor and is another solid record imo even though I had my doubts after the singles and god awful LUCID even though that one was still SAWAYAMA era. The bops are bops (Holy omg)

After hours of having the song on repeat and watching the video multiple times back to back... it's such a fun track and the production of the video, the website made for the record... it's so good. Love how she's always thinking about the bigger picture and making everything so cohesive. We stan a goddess
Even my bf loved the track and the video and he hasn't been that much into her since Utopia

I went to the airport yesterday as he came back and it was an absolute mayhem, the crowd went feral. No chance of getting an autograph and in the first 75mins or so I only saw a glimpse of his head bc the airport was packed with people and everyone lost it to say the least. Wasn't until after his press conference that he came out for a brief moment and I actually got quite close, got the whole rioting on video lol.
Can't wait to see him live next month.
