  1. So after listening to Honeymoon over the last days I have to say that it's absolutely amazing ! My first listening impression was that the tempo was extremely slow but now I kinda get the mood and it doesn't seem that slow to me anymore since I noticed all the amazing instruments and voices that pop out of nowhere in each song. Does anybody agree that Lana choose some of the weakest tracks for (promotional) singles ? Don't get me wrong, I really like Honeymoon but in comparison to other tracks that are even longer it just drags on. Terrence Loves You is so delicate and emotional and beautiful but lyric- and production-wise there are definitely better songs on the album. High By The Beach is a stand out track but in a negative way. Imo you can hear that it was written and produced to be a single because it doesn't really fit into the album. The only exception is Music To Watch Boys To which is a musical masterpiece (gimme that high production video Lana ) I can't decide which songs I like the most since they are all heaven
  2. I'm beyond excited about the V and the Nylon Magazine photoshoots ! Well the photoshoots she did during the last era were pretty and all but these just slay so hard. She looks like a legend, an icon,... my baby is back Like someone said before, she needs to bring such strong looks back on stage again. Now I'm praying that this interview won't ruin it all
  3. well let's pray we'll hear them longer than only a few seconds
  4. Prisoner is ok imo, you can listen to it every once in a while but it's nothing special (still way better than Wait For Life though ) Am I the only one who was immediately reminded of songs like Damn You or Backfire when it comes to her voice ? It sounds so pop-polished if you know what I mean...
  5. The guitars in the beginning are a nice start imo but when her angelic voice apeared I was like she sounds SO hauntingly beautiful in this song !! Seriously, when she sang I lost myself when I lost you I had goosebumps all over my body and I remembered why I once fell in love with Lana. The bridge was also absolutely pretty. However, I strongly dislike the vocal layer parts in the chorus, it just sounds odd and random. And it is such a huge waste that they didn't make some instruments last longer than 2 seconds. TLY is really beautiful but I'm not quite sure if it won't lose its magic sooner or later for me...
  6. All these news Sooo... I can't really get into that cover. I like the way she is dressed but you can hardly recognize her. She also looks kinda chubby tbh Her head is just so small and that bus looks huge in comparison. Whatever, the other pics are gorgeous, it seems to be her thing to use the worst picture as the cover. The track list got me absolutely hyped !!!! I'm so happy that we will get to hear MTWBT and Swan Song after all these speculations in the past. Right now I'm just super proud that promotion isn't a complete mess this time. September 18th can't come soon enough
  7. All in all we got a proper music video that makes it very very clear what Lana's intention behind it was. I'm actually so happy right now that she finally has learned how to cope with all the hate in the media. I also adore the way she looks (especially the shot in which she holds the gun ). It's also great that they filmed it all in "one take" because it really builds up the tension imo. Her "acting" was a lil awkward sometimes but that's just Lana and I love her for that. I won't deny that I still prefer BTD visuals over this music video but it's way better than the let down in the WC and UV videos. Nonetheless I think it's absolutely amazing how versatile Lana is. You can hardly find artists out there who completely change their entire musical/visual style every era !
  8. This announcement just brought back all the excitement !!!! She looks so good on the cover, I love the title, we only have to wait 6 more days, there is COLOR and we can be sure now that Honeymoon is coming soon ( )... I'm really hoping this is a fucking bop because the song Honeymoon is nice and all but this album needs more energy or I'm going to pass out during listening.
  9. I believe that this will be the opening track of the album. The song starts with a soft and slow mood and puts my mind in that dreamy phase in which I always get while I lay in the sun and almost fall asleep. And then from the bridge onwards it kinda sounds like the intro or the kick off for an album. Tbh the first two choruses are a snoozefest imo However I love the scary, crime-like vibes and the production and her vocals finally sound clear again The bridge and everything that comes after it are definitely my favorite part of the song ! After listening to the song I developed a concept for the album in my head. It's like you're falling asleep, then you have crazy dreams (MTWBT and so on) and then in the end the closing track will make you wake up into reality again. I'm just really excited now and can't wait to find out in which direction this album will go ! Right now I can't decide if Honeymoon won't get super boring in the future but for now I love it
  10. "That's not the sexy shoot I was talking about" c'mon it's pretty obvious what he means here I hope his computer is safe
  11. don't know if anyone cares but I had the chance to see Charli live last Thursday (ignore the fact that is was a Katy concert if you don't like her ) even though it seemed like I was the only person in the audience who really knew Charli and was looking forward to her performance, she definitely got the arena going and didn't appear lost on such a huge stage at at all. well at least when I Love It, Boom Clap and Break The Rules came on everybody was excited imo there was way too much light on her face and therefore all my photos are a little bit shitty but whatever:
  12. I'm not a fortune teller, I can't predict if people will remember her, I don't know if the internet will praise her in the future but what is way more important to me is that I'm definitely going to listen to her stunningly beautiful music until the day I die. That's probably the only thing that connects everybody on this site and at the end of the day it's that one thing that matters.
  13. So I adore that intro since it really gives me Hawaiian summer vibes and sounds so beautifully tragic. The verses are also quite nice and it's great to hear her clear voice again (I like her voice on UV but it's just refreshing to listen to a loud, clear voice again). Somehow I don't like the chorus at all. The way it is sang kinda annoys me and I feel the strong need to wake her up during singing. Finally some scatting on a studio version ! I know that this is Emile's song and that's why I think that Wait For Life doesn't foreshadow the Honeymoon sound. It still would be amazing if she adapted the summer vibes. All in all Wait For Life is a decent song imo but it doesn't move anything inside of me.
  14. What I like the most about this album is the fact that no label or record producer forced her to write a specific type of music or appropriate lyrics. Lana Del Ray represents her music taste back in that time when she sat in her trailer park and wrote it. The sound is super unique and 100% Lana. In my opinion it reveals much about her personality, her affinity to kitsch, lolitas and death and was an important step on her way to success. I wish she would embrace this masterpiece instead of denying it but I guess she would get in trouble with Interscope if she played songs out of that album live. Nonetheless imagine mysterious songs like Mermaid Motel, Jump or Kill Kill on stage While BTD, Paradise or even UV might appeal to a broader audience, Lana Del Ray has an undeniable authenticity to it and makes me believe that it actually reveals Lana's deepest thoughts uncensored (at least those she had back in 2008) since she didn't really spend a lot of time wondering what the public is going to say about it. I think there's no need to talk about amazing lines like "Palm trees in black and white, last thing I saw before I died" (this opening line has the same effect as "My pussy tastes like Pepsi Cola" in some way but on a higher level imo) or "I said it's nice to love and be loved but I'd rather know what God knows".
