Just saying -- it would be weird to take on the social stigma (especially being that her career is based on public-image to an extent) of being a recreational drug user if you've never been one. It is labeled as a deviant behavior and I doubt many sober people would find getting high as appealing or glamorize it as Lana has. She has publicly talked about struggling with alcoholism and it seems likely that she has struggled with depression, so it is not a stretch to think that she has ever used recreational drugs. Disregarding the fact, of course, that she references herself using drugs throughout her entire catalog, released and unreleased.

From about '08 to '10 i listened to a radio station called KGRL online that was all singer-songwriter acoustic tracks by women and she was one of their featured artists in 2010. Gah, I wish that station were still around.

I really love Mertens' work that we've heard. His style is actually a great match with LDR. I'm dying to know if he produced versions of Kill Kill and Smarty, and if any other tracks almost made the album. The Brite Lites demo is very intriguing. :deadbanana:

I think ITH, BB, and FS (possibly even FK) should have been on UV and would be great single material. Lyrics alone on these 4 songs are better than SG, PWYC, and FMWUTT.

I miss CD singles so much. It was fun to get a new CD and mixes or a b-side plus single artwork.
 
Even digital singles would sometimes have a b-side or remix or acoustic version. :'(

Reprinting the UV Booklet is fucking lazy.... considering that the booklets contained very few lyrics.
 
It wouldn't require very much effort to have a consistent design...or to proof read the damn pages lol

This song is clearly sarcastic, due to the overall tone.I do question on whether or not PWYC and Brookyn Baby are satirical.

I recall her saying in an interview something about hating when her boyfriend said that to her. Yes, but I don't recall it being sarcasm? I'm on the fence with sad girl.

I feel so bad for his family, friends and fans - this is a terribly sad turn of events.
