I have 700 hours on this game! Love it to death. I do have on and off phases with SDV though, but it has such a special place in my heart it will forever be my favourite game. But I think the on-off phase isn't because of the game but because of my gaming behaviour.

Before I played it, I thought it was just another farming simulator but the story has so many real-life day to day aspects and struggles, love how deep and real the character stories are (trying hard not to spoil), so much so it made me become emotionally attached to 2D pixel characters lol the game is very wholesome but at the same time very real

Also, I cannot praise Eric Barone enough. He essentially developed the game by himself, the art, the music, the programming. You can feel how much love he put in it. He gave us four years after the official game release a free content patch, which was a whole ass game by itself and he put the game on sale during that time (the original game is what, normally only about 14€ for PC??). That patch alone was more than any damn "Early Access" games for 30€ give us these days or EA gives us in any Sims 4 game/extention pack. I only bought the Soundtrack to support him and shove more money down his throat because he deserves it. A lot of people bought the game on every platform just to support him, he is very loved in the community. We are all looking forward to his new game, Haunted Chocolatier that is currently in development.

The game normally costs 13,99€ (on Steam/PC) and is currently on sale for 9,23€. But i've seen it for 4,99€ too sometimes, so if you are unsure about it, I would get it during a sale. The content you get for the price is insane.

Plus, I just got this OST Vinyl Boxset a while ago and it's the cutest damn thing everrr look at it omg

And let’s not pretend the industry isn’t itching to embrace Kanye West again once his 1138393th redemption arc kicks in. The media keeps giving free passes to male  artists but all it takes is contentious and complex positioning from female musicians and all hell breaks loose.

right. I still haven't forgotten about Chris Brown :sideeye:

    NO BECAUSE ITS PAINFUL.

Also we've evolved, new games should innovate on the old ones. We shouldn't need to pay £40 for weather or pets. Like yeah sure they've been add-ons in the past but

    1) seasons was never meant to be a pack, it only happened because they couldn't fix rain in time for the sims 2 base game

    2) it's twenty motherfucking three. why are we paying for such basic shit that isn't even fully fleshed out

let's be honest, it's always only all about the money. they'll put in the minimum effort for the maximum of profits, that's why all their stuff lacks substance and depth, feels unfinished and buggy as hell. the only reason they are the only game permitting modders to profit off their game is because they know the moment they stop allowing it, their game goes down hill because the modders are carrying the game. We can complain as much as we want about EA but they will keep on doing what they're doing if we keep shoving money down their throats. There are other ways to enjoy the SIMS 4 :hooker:

like are you not embarrassed? also im pretty sure kits are things that they just kept out of existing packs or things that were cut. like bust the crust or whatever tf its called couldve easily gone into parenthood tbf

lmfaoo your profile pic goes perfectly with your post :lmao: and I agree about the kits. It's just another money making scheme for EA. Almost all the kits could've been part of a pack.

Kid's Room, Toddler and Backyard stuff would've also fit with parenthood (and parenthood and growing together could've been one pack together lol). Spooky and Paranormal stufff could've been one kit and I still don't understand to this day why werewolves and vampires were made into two different packs. Like, the list goes on and on.

    no because this.

the devs have also said that they often play with mods that are popular and then try to replicate the mod in game...like that is so wrong?

what the fuck, they actually said that?! Is that even... legal? I know writers don't read fanfictions because they don't want a law suit happening about stolen ideas.

lmao the fact the devs admitted that and still pushing out mediocre packs and kits  :awkney:

same but i also hate the art style icl.

project renee or whatever tf it is looks like a rip-off of paralives, calling now its gonna be crap because its remotely playable with mobile so...great.

samesies. I'm excited to try out paralives but I hope they refine the art style more, because as of now I don't feel it. And ew mobile.

It's what needs to happen after EA's current bullshit with making the complete TS4 cost over $1k and additionally paywalling new content behind their subscription service. They need boycotted forreal

Honestly, fuck EA. They charge 40 bucks for a pack and 10 bucks for a Kit with barely any content and the content they do produce is not worth the money. They rely on the mod community to fix their stuff for free (which is also part of the devil's cycle tbh, the mod community needs to stop doing EAs work but that's a whole other can of worms I'm not opening up lmao) while they are the ones cashing it in.

Each update they push out breaks the game even more and that SIM SUMMIT EVENT a while ago was just embarrassing, looking at the quality of their work. Sims 4 base game vanilla isn't even that great of an experience if you don't buy the packs or mod imo. It's laughable that it's now free to play, it's so obvious that they rely on the packs and kits to make profits, which is a very sad sign for the quality of the base game.

Based on what I heard from people who don't worship everything she releases, Lana definitely values quantity over quality. She really feels the need to release an album every year full of mediocre songs and a couple of decent ones instead of wanting to wait a couple of years until she has a spark of inspiration. She started from having no skips in BTD, UV and HM, to having a couple of in LFL and since then she has more and more skips and the songs being background noise. I don't have the leaked songs but I feel like half of the album will be skips. I look forward because it's Lana but I don't have high expectations. I wish she experimented with higher tempos or more upbeat songs.

I agree with this so hard, you perfectly summed up my feelings since LFL. I just listened to BB and even though I didn't expect much, I was still disappointed. The Interlude and maybe Dealer are the only exiting things for me on this album. I'm not saying her other songs are bad and her voice is just as beautiful as ever but the homogeneous mixture of slow ballads just so boring. What I liked most about her was, how she was able to mix different genres and samples, that usually don't go together, into a song and album that surprisingly harmonizes well. For me, every song on BTD, UV, HM and maybe LFL had a different feel to it, they sounded diffent on their own while still being somewhat similar but still worked and fit well together in an album. I don't have that feel anymore. I don't know if her artistry changed or she became lazy or whatever, but her songs now are nowhere near as experimental and exciting as they used to be. Thunder's Demo was way more interesting that the album version on BB imo. I will never forget the strings on HM, the sick ass guitars and bass on UV and the beats on BTD and her voice with a piano in between all of them. Now, her albums since LFL are just a snooze fest for me. She can do happy songs and lyrics all she wants, I just wish she would express it in a more exciting way again.

Guys guys I won’t listen to the leak but I just need one question answered.

      Hide contents

So I’m hearing a lot of talk about the auto tune in TJF, I usually don’t like auto tuned vocals that just sound shaky (like The Weeknd and Post Malone). So would it ruin TJF for me or is it like super good and vibey.

not sure how much of a hot take this was.

    Spoiler

Call me tasteless but I don't like it. I'll get dragged to hell and back for this but I don't like Jack as her producer in general. The song itself is nice and easy to listen to, reminds me A LOT of Cinnamon, but the autotune as a style element ugh I cant. I tolerated it with Cinnamon but it's too much for my taste in TJF.  But apparently TJF seems to be popular with the others, so it might just be me.

It doesn’t make sense, cause in the video said before you see this you’ll hear another song called let me love you like a woman. If the single would drop today, would make sense to release album tomorrow

i can see her trolling us and dropping the song hours before the album tbh. but it's most probably my delusional ass lol
