Can't this damned Flopico just be shown so that we can all watch it, laugh a bit and move on? This era needs to FINALLY come to an end and we have to wait and see what she is up to doing next. At least, I am very excited about a possible new era sometime next year. But she really needs to tone it down a bit, srsly. It started with National Anthem where her videos got longer and longer and we were at 7+ minutes back then, then Ride with 10+ minutes and now 30 (+) minutes, ffs! It gets harder and harder to sit through a whole freaking video of hers. Schedule-wise, the whole Paradise era was just a mess. I hope the next time she, her team and her label talk before they "announce" something.

Random and quite off-topic I know, but I personally think that a song like Rooting For My Baby could have been written by Lana or at least Lana could pull it off easily. It has become my favourite track on Miley's album. Sadly, it's just on the deluxe version. And the fact that she and Barrie have recorded together worries me. I hope he doesn't sing on them. And there is a new producer? Didn't she say something like she has worked with the same ppl on her new recordings? I wonder if she will continue to work with Rick Nowels and the other producers. The very few things she says make me think that she has moved somewhere totally different sonically.

I totally agree with this. She just isn't very captivating. I get the impression that she is too focused to avoid a cringeworthy lyric or two but fails to create melodies. I gave the album three times a spin and NOTHING stuck in my mind except a song or two. Shame.

She also thanked everybody after she uploaded her video for Ride on YT.

her album went platinum is Australia over a year ago. It is probably double platinum or close to it now and I also don't get the logic some people have with the "I don't want her to be famous and successful, I rather want her to keep her to myself"-mentality. You know that when an artist is not selling enough, they get dropped and it gets pretty hard for them to release new music, videos, to tour etc. We should be very happy that she is one of the biggest selling artists right now.

which is totally ok for me since I said that is my personal opinion and how I feel about. I like AKA, but I just expect something more modern and sophisticated from her now. Never cared for Sirens. It's just not my thing, sonically.

I don't trust this woman when she talks about anything that has to be released. I can totally understand that she is upset about the fact that Black Beauty was heard by the public way too early, but a) it's just one song and not a whole record (maybe plus Angels Forever) b) it wasn't even a typical leak. It was on the page of her precious producer c) she will end up putting the final version on the new album anyway d) it didn't even have many views on YT. Most ppl don't even know about this demo Not here for the sound of AKA or even worse, Sirens. She definately needs songs like OTTR or DMD on her new record. Otherwise it will be pretty tiresome to get through an album of too many slow paced tracks. But that's all just my personal opinion

I think it comes with the territory. Rihanna and Miley get away with it because nobody takes them serious. They are just powerhorse selling machines with zero depth. Lana on the other hand sees herself as an artist and she touches these topics in a different way, but because people tend to dismiss sex without love and simply call it porn / porn fantasies, critics refuse to give her respect for expressing her desire for a dominant male or the explicit lyrics.
