  1. I love this. But. the flower combusting is deffo symbolic of an orgasm. Tree huggers to the nth degree They burst all at once and then it gets real cold. The album pops out in the winter, and she smirks and smizes to the camera. Lights fade

maybe she finally had some good sex without crying but we wont know until the album drops so i'm good with that symbolism even if she plays us on it

i can't see the winter thing just because lana is so summer or a sense of warmth but it'd be interesting to see her do it her way, i like them all popping at once maybe in like a succession? oh and cant forget the 8mm footage chuck will combust

  2. Shaddup now I actually wanna see that happen LMAO

Omg yall remember this very not know fact about Lana that she once climbed a tree and either cracked a rib or broke a leg I don't remember... I'm not crazy but I'm a stalker and I KNOW I read about this somewhere hidden on here... And it had an impact on her somehow

So to answer your question, be careful what you wish for :deadbanana:

okay here's the layout of the NRF trailer vid:

    picture this:

lana in a super picturesque, almost fantasy-fake treehouse in a large tree. she's a little too big for the treehouse made for a child, but she's able to sit on the edge of it with on knee up and the other foot swinging below. we see her looking up a little into the sky as she takes a drag of a cigarette... then... she begins some voice over nonsense like "i've been visiting the old place in my mind, going back to what i thought i knew then and seeing it now for the first time" begins happening on top of the sound of the breeze and some birds or some nature shit.

then the tree the house is in starts growing or something and she's moving with it or as if it doesn't effect her, the branches twisting around her and the leaves blossoming as flowers start blooming even though they probably wouldn't grow on the tree she's in (but it's lana's fantasy so they made it happen). she goes on to site some poetry over the visuals of all this growth which can like symbolize her state of mind or general state of being that she sounds like she might be reflecting on in this album and just a more mature being i guess? but then something weird has to happen like when she picks a flower it combusts but into a pretty flame and it means something "deep" i don't know. and the vid won't be longer than a couple mins but it'll end with lana finally acknowledging the camera straight on as it moves away from her and the outside world of the treehouse is like destroyed or something as a comment on life i don't know.

this is what's happening y'all she's overcoming her fear of trees by being one

  3. So I love discovering music and listening to new records every year... but I swear this year was SO shitty musically. I haven't liked a single album.

What are your favorite albums from this year? Please no Cardi B, Charlie XCX, Dua Lipa and that stuff.

i agree with the person above for God's Favorite Customer, and i don't listen to a lot of modern music so i'm not on top of a lot of albums coming out, but (despite the controversy right now) Blue Madonna is pretty good, a lot of experimenting

got any genre/mood preferences? i can find some things that fits moods for you if you're open to all decades

  4. i wasn't too deep in the lana fandom when UV was coming out and WC premiered (i didn't even know this site existed or that there was such a grand following for her online), but i have to say i love learning about all the history through her career, or at least what we know/what we speculate about it.

i always got excited for her releases but have to say that i feel like the UV cover could have been better, but it fits the mood i associate with it

(i see UV as like an arrival point, storywise. like BTD was baby lana living on the east coast, paradise was her transition to west coast, UV is after she's been there for a while (alone in a new place, nothing to do but think and overthink), then HM is like a persona almost, but maybe a grownup version of the BTD persona, then LFL is lana catching up to 2018 and opening up)

then the HM cover kind of makes sense, i do love it in a way and don't like the alts mentioned above because it has the same filtering from UV aesthetic which makes it stuck, so maybe like a different subtle filter? it was just like a really crisp, IG post picture so it was slightly missing something. i wish the font was a cursive though...

  5. It's more like Leonard Cohen's poetry books, which were always readily available to fans and friends (and fans are friends so to say)

but it is now much easier access for fans to know about something like this. And it now keeps it in house, though some could be delegated to book stores if she chose.

Chances are it would be perfect in bundles/in tandem with the new album (even if copies are sold early on, much like digital downloads in bundles,

but when the fan actually will take possession of the book is the question.

also, one would assume it could be sold worldwide at the same time, as it is not owned by anyone but her, so there would be no restrictions.

Question will be- what is the anticipated run, and if it is made to order, then there will be a delay in shipping.

She is not going to have many thousands printed in advance.

a funny thought flashed through my mind- for those that watch Better Call Saul -

imagine if she kept copies in her car and distributed them like Jimmy/Saul distributed his trackfree  phones.

    :lmao:

fair thought but we also don't know for sure if she's intending on it being for fans, do we? not even positive it's being published at all either.

she could definitely just do it as a passion project and, like someone else mentioned, drop a few off in local bookstores in various locations (or even one location)

i feel like she's not going to turn into a publishing how for a book of 13 poems, it seems more something personal for her to do if she wants to, after all she did include it in the same vein that she mentioned she's taking flying lessons and she's not going to be selling tickets to 'a flight with lana del rey by lana del rey' anytime soon so who knows what's actually going to happen.

i kind of hope she's not doing it to solely market off of it though? like don't do that lana.

tandem is an interesting thought, maybe the poems will be the NFR booklet enclosed? like instead of the typical album info booklet, it'll be 'violet' and maybe they'll be special orders or maybe she's pull a willy wonka and make it random, THEN we'd have a major record merchandise success, you feel? and it would definitely come up online eventually, but if she's going to do poems and poetry i want her to channel her inner beat and really put something out, maybe even under her real name?

there's so many avenues to explore here!

  6. def reminds me of jim morrison publishing his own poetry

buttt the downside to that (and i know lana is a fan of the doors or at least jim) is that jim published it personally and then gave copies to his friends only so virtually no one fan-wise has his poetry unless given it by someone who knew him or luckily found a copy at an old bookstore

not sure if the publicly published books have any of the same poems

but hopefully lana doesnt pull this scheme

  7. SOOOO Marina Collab?

definitely agree that it's more likely to be on marina's album BUT it's possible lana could have marina on some backing/ethereal type vocals in a song a la 'god save our young blood' where lana is like a ghost

and vice versa, but i think if marina features lana, lana will have a verse if not a full duet between the two

marina was thanked on LFL album notes too so we could all be playing ourselves and that's as far as the 'collab' goes  :rip:
