  1. I just downloaded all of her unreleased songs today, and I was curious if anyone knows the years they were recorded, or what era some of them belonged to
  2. The tour book is 16 pages. The website doesn't say how many pages the lyric book has
  3. Yea I got it from the merch store and it apparently ships on the 30th so I have a couple weeks. If you want any pics, I'd be happy to post some!
  4. @ I just bought it yesterday. That was my big purchase of the summer and it's not even summer yet I knew I got a second job for a reason. It is pricey for what it is, but I have a complex about buying official merch, so I caved in no regretssss...
  5. If Black Beauty and Angels Forever don't make the cut, I am putting them in the album on my iTunes and I will pretend 'till I convince myself that they were officially released. But hopefully I won't have to pretend
  6. @@Ultraviolence I agree that Paradise was a step forward. I don't know if I like Paradise or Born to Die more than the other, but it felt like a progression. Andddddd Body Electric should've sounded like how she performed it for the first time. I'm not a fan of the production on the album.
  7. I have always had the impression that Lana does her shows the way she does because that's just the way she wants to. I remember her from the very beginning saying she was a writer, not a performer. There's nothing wrong with that. The way she does her shows is enjoyable because you're there to enjoy the music and the atmosphere she provides. What I take from all of this is that we should never expect a large-scale production. I think to go to her shows and expect something Gaga- or Katy Perry-like is going to set up your own disappointment. It's like people are bitter about all of the positive reviews she's had lately, so they recycle the same exact negative things that were said over 2 years ago. I went to her House of Blues show last August and I can honestly say that I was expecting awkward, microphone-wrestling Lana (which I found and still find adorable to be honest). What I got was confident, excited Lana. I took my best friend with me (who is not a Lana fan; I took her because she enjoys music and concerts in general) and she left the show very happy because of Lana's confidence and the show's simplicity. She's doing so well and people just can't stand it.
  8. Children of the Bad Revolution, obvs. It's not Lana, but I Am the Highway by Audislave is a road trip must.
  9. It reminded me of Knockin' On Heaven's Door
  10. I'm pretty convinced she is. But Lana doesn't need strings for her songs to sound big and ethereal, which she has proven with West Coast. I love the strings too, but this rock direction works so well for her!
  11. I'm just hoping for one promo single before the album. I'm content with only 2 songs until the album release, but a second would hold me over
  12. It'll either be cool like the whole Midwest right now, or pretty hot. It's so up and down here, no one will know till the week before lol
  13. I feel like the lyrics and references in Hollywood make it almost clear that it isn't meant for UV. It could always be revamped, but I feel like there's a big difference between JFK/SE/HW and AFFA/BB.
  14. Idk how it works in the UK, let alone in general to be honest lol, but I saw people in Europe saying that singles come out two weeks before an album release, so the 25th, in that logic, would be the release date. But that's also a Sunday so idk how this works
  15. If it's true, it's not too bad. I think we can all assume the albums going to come between May and June, hopefully not July though, but I can see this being a decently quick release. They're gonna ride this hype. She's doing better than I think anyone expected. I'm like a proud mama.
  16. My mom came into my room at 6 and goes "weren't you gonna get up early to hear the new Lana song?" My mom gets me
  17. That seems like a long time. Not in terms of my patience, but in terms of having a single out. I understand other artists have had singles out for 4 months at a time, but I don't see how that's strategic in any way. It even seems odd to me that the single won't be available for purchase in over a month. I like to think the album will be released sooner, or those billboards and the promo with this single seem to be put out too quickly. I'm just thinking out loud. Nobody knows, and I honestly don't understand how singles and album releases are usually done.
  18. She's a prophet! Trick knew what I was gonna do before I did it
  19. I'm gonna reserve real judgement for now. 9 hrs...
