  1. why dont more fans publically call her out on this shit? @@lanadelrey why are you going to cults? why do you support police? especially if it's all just lip service to sell her music. she's really soured me in the past week especially with the cop shit. you can explore your own personal religion that doesn't seem to hurt others but the police thing does represent something that very much hurts other.

Cant wait for this. Clarity was such a good album and of course the first volume of this was fun and great.
  3. I'm not suggesting she get back to Barrie but to say he was beneath her in every level isn't fair, you don't know Lana or Barrie. He threw cash at the Daniel Johnston doc they were involved with for example. His band was growing some fame in the UK, the dude wasn't a straight up leech or anything, just depressed. Shame he quit that band, I think he felt him and Lana were going to be in it for the long haul. I'll admit my bias that I think Barrie was her best public boyfriend she had from a fan's perspective. The others might be rich or GQ-cover material but were dull as rocks.
  4. ACAB Weird this is the thing that makes me lose a lot of respect for her personally. This issues are intertwined, especially for a fucking television cop. Glad there's some good releases coming up because this taints NFR! for me. Also the next album will surely have songs written about him and not in the fun "Playing Dangerous" where it's obviously fictional and kinda just stupid fun. I wonder what all her friends think about this. I picture a very nervous Joshua Tillman mid-acid trip learning who this guy is while hanging out with him. She's always been out of touch because she's always been rich; but these past couple years we've seen a "woker" Lana give interviews about all the problems in the world and immediately she gets in bed with someone that very publicly on TV represents a very huge problem in our country. It's the complete opposite, she's perpetualing a problem whether she realizes it or not. I guess I should "trust no bitch" just like her all the lies about the sobriety/drinking we went through. I miss Barrie, I wonder how he's doing.
  5. The California Lana persona started around the UV time. She took the the coast. She's as local as any celebrity, to which if there's actually any Malibu natives left or anything wouldn't call her a local. I actually like that she addresses New York a lot in this album fairly directly about being another place and time, so to her, she is a local. The NY past is foreign and she grapples with that.
  6. Really bummed about the trap beat being barely in that mix on Cinnamon. I like this album a lot better than L4L. For me: BTD > Honeymoon > UV > NFR > L4L
  7. Who doesn't want to collab with her? If this gets her closer to playing the Gathering of the Juggalos, then I'm all for it. Time for that trash magic to sparkle up the trailer park.
  8. Are there no confirmed bonus tracks or anything? Nothing listed on her publisher's site as registered with the Honeymoon songs?
  9. I started liking Honeymoon a lot more once the album came out. Before that, I'd skip it. I only really skip Terrance, Interlude, and 24 now.
  10. I think "24" should have been a bonus track or something. It breaks up the flow and feels out of place despite being a nice song.
  11. Pretty much. I didn't expect Lana to be as playful or unreserved though.
  12. Yeah she's definitely on the throne. But then there is part where she's underwater too. I doubt it means anything though -- they could use that as some bs point about even a queen has her moments of uncivility, etc. too. I don't think there's much to the story at all. I'm disappointed none of the guys are playing guitars or anything. Basketball is so overused and they show a skateboard once. The male silhouettes could have been done better in some places. I also agree with the color, even if it were some more high contrast pink scenes (to mix with the blue water ones) it would have made it a lot more artistically interesting. I would have added another scene or something in the bridge too to cut it up. I'm nitpicking though, it's a fun video that reminds me of early LDR/Lizzy-era mixed with the LDR we all know and love. Thumbs up.
  13. Is her tooth chipped or is that a bad veneer? It's definitely the most we've seen of her "personality" coming through in these videos though. She's a lot more animated and fun. I kinda like it.
  14. "Ghetto" has always been a compliment in Lana's songs, it's safe to assume it is also here. It's not a diss track but it's definitely about AB. I wrote in the lyrics thread and the connections on Genius.com are just too convincing. It has nothing to do about "ghetto" I think. Lana probably thinks AB is an interesting person/character/(friend) and was moved to write about her.
  15. Gunmetal I agree, it's just a character study.
