It's kinda funny how we were ''Pls less piano ballads'' after NFR and now we're on a third album in a row with about 60% of tracks being exactly that.
I'm at peace with it now and I enjoy these albums though.

after reading jacks instagram  i think he don´t like Drew. Zach was the guy he loved so much.

    now speculation:

For "Rock Candy Sweet" Jack and Lana made songs together, but on one sunday morning she brought "drew" with her. "Jack i wanted him produce some of my songs". And then Jack freaked out completely, he took all the songs they wrote together and said "Now you can write songs with this loser, im out. Im done with it. RCS was my baby."" So Lana had to scrap all the Jack songs and write  new songs with Drew. But she realized after BB release that she needs Jack for doing something special again. So she met him down at the taco truck and they talked to each other about this new project. Lana asked Jack to help her with the new album, but he says "the condition of my participation is that the loser Drew doesn't work on this album". Lana started to cry "Oh Jack he made some songs, i really like, please don´t do this to me.....Umh i have an idea. I will write a song for you and you can sing on this song. Would that make a difference?" Jack laughed "Thank you Lana, i have already forgotten this loser. Lets do this album together"

    Happy End

in a song about contemplating suicide with the loss of a family member, the final lines "I give myself two second to breathe / And go back to being a serene queen / I just needed two seconds to be me" is actually so fucking powerful

I’m all about an ass shaking song but Peppers feels out of place on the album sonically and lyrically and might be my least favorite.

"The soul that you bring to the table
The one that makes me sing
    In a minor key"

    Is so beautiful to me
Songs in minor keys have the reputation of sounding sadder than their major counterparts. But that is not really true - it's just that minor sounds softer, more relaxed, more vibey, less harsh than major.

So Lana tells us that Margaret is making Jack feel like that, which is such a sweet way to describe the feeling of pure love.

Surely that Variety review is at least a 90, they called it a riveting emotional tour de force in the headline alone.

who mixed this album cause damn… this is even worse than the cracking at the end of WFWF

the clicking throughout fingertips, the saturated moments throughout the album, grandfather’s second half borderline unlistenable due to the bottom barrel mix… laura sisk you bitch

Yeah, with long interludes, pastors preaching and lyrics like "feeling suicidal" and "fuck me to death, it's definitely more approachable than all that "su-su-su-summertime sadness" and "young and in love" shit

Blue Banisters and Chemtrails were so clearly transitional records now in hindsight. Without them, the excellence of this record would not be possible  it just took her a couple of Beautiful’s and Wildflower Wildfire’s to get there

What an incredible way to end a record. You know, pretty early on in the pre-release I predicted that the closing track would be one of the wordier ones, taking the final minutes to get out all that she wanted to say before it came to a close. Though I was somewhat wrong, I'd also like to think that I was somewhat right.
Sometimes there really isn't more to be said, except for what already has been said.
I think motioning that sentiment by repeating the care-free, fun-loving lines of Venice Bitch that we already know and love with some new ad-libs is brilliant.
She said so much on this record - she got raw, she got personal - more than ever before, in my opinion. So, why not close the whole thing by shaking the heaviness off and transitioning into a remix of one of her most iconic songs?
I think by not saying anything more at all and rather choosing to reminisce on a lighter note, she silently reiterated some of the most important lyric lessons that she wanted to stress from the record -
"I'm meaning to say, that there's nothing to do except know that this is how the light gets in"
"I give myself two seconds to breathe and go back to being a serene queen. I just needed two seconds to be me."
"When you’re home, you’re home (Venice, California)"
"It's not about having someone to love me anymore, this is the experience of being an American Whore"
"When you leave all you take is your memories, and I’m gonna take mine of you with me"

So by saying nothing new at all, she really said so much. Again, this whole record contained so much personal storytelling, and I just think this is the perfect sendoff. Sort of a, here was my story, now it's over, let's have fun.

I also love the Taco Truck section of the song and while I do wish it was its own song, I think it transitions so well into Venice Bitch. I think I may even prefer this rendition to the original.
Also, I'm still dying at the fact she teased a lyric from this song to me over a year ago. No, I'm never going to shut up about it x
