Can we not have trap beats tho...
PLEASE. if i never hear another foray into trap stylization from lana ever again, what we already have would still be too much

i want to pour goats blood over her white cotton-blend adidas clothing and toss a cake mixer on high into her extensions to tangle them and unleash the braincells being contained by her nasta almond milk conditioner
a lot of your posts, including this one, read like some kind of surrealist poetry and i'm honestly jealous of the ability to string words together so masterfully

also I can NOT stand that girl next to her. She's literally been everywhere around her lately. Plus she sounds so shallow damn I don't want to be mean but I feel like those girls are like... harmful to the brain
YES thank you, i know a while back there was a discussion about not liking her friends bc she spends too much time hanging out with them instead of working or whatever but like...i don't even care about that kind of speculation, i just get very very bad and shallow and generally off vibes from them, especially that girl.
Not quite... Yeah, everyone pretty much knows that Catholic church is against same sex relationship...
But, not all of them offered conversion programs like this particular one. It's just fucked up on so many levels

Piano ballads can be as exciting and fun as you want them to be, it’s all about context. But these ballads are shit.
Like this is one of my fave songs, and stylistically, it’s similar to the songs from NFR. But it’s actually a good ballad.
Some others for you to enjoy:
ahhh regina, my piano ballad queen

ok i LOVE slow, sad, depressing, moody, melancholy piano ballad shit with all of my heart

Okay bear with me, I'm about to take y'all on a journey... I think I know what's happened here (I write for the 1000th time): Lana WAS planning on releasing the album at the top of 2019 as planned, hence VB and MAC coming out in September of last year. Then, in January 2019, her label last minute decides to push Billie's release earlier than Lana's since she's the shiny new YOUNG thing. Lana lashes out passive aggressively by releasing Hope (a song that is not single friendly but personal to her), and acting like a teenager [insta baddie] on social media. She's ironically flaunting to her label that she can act young and carefree as well, in spite of them choosing Billie over her. Her insta baddie attitude and new friends also tie in with the theme that this will be her "happy album" a la Happiness Is a Butterfly. We're done with depressing Lana. She put that phase to rest with L4L, specifically Get Free. So for us to soak up the new era, as we've seen, she's out here living her best life: hanging with friends, laughing at nothing in videos, showing off a bit. We have literally never seen Lana this happy before at such an extended period of time. I really think she means no harm with all of this confusing behavior. She's trying to get back at her record label for postponing her release in favor of rookie Billie after all her years of hard work putting out albums, and she's also building the world and image of NFR for us. However, that said I really am getting tired of the waiting game and I'm just looking forward to when Billie's release will wear off and Lana's label allows her to get her release back on track again.
didn't she call NFR "sad girl shit" at some point? other than that this really makes a lot of sense though

okay so she can use Norman Rockwell's name but what about the fucking between it? maybe it's considered like a disrespect to his name
even so, i don't think that gives anyone the ability to actually stop her from using it if she wanted to

soft serve icecream grunge new matcha wave beach house vegan jazz
i can't lie, this kind of sounds like a genre perfectly tailored to my taste

I would love for that to be the actual cover as long as it remains textless.
i'm pulling hard for a textless cover, it feels so much classier to me

aight, then give me the piano ballad album
I'll take an album of 13 tracks that sound like Old Money/Change (I highkey love Change so miss me w/the hate)
her best song, her magnum opus, the pinnacle of her achievements...that's a hill i'll die on btw. i am HERE for this concept

you're damn right but i don't know any way of life beyond clinging to delusion

you know what elizabeth
i don't give a fuck about promo at this point, or what you wear, or any sense of an "era" at all, or even the album artwork honestly
i just want the goddamn music
i don't even care if you give the whole ass album a hiadtsdhdhjjihfurch-duhk style cover, or if you play no live shows and just take a year off to drink matcha and read milk and honey
i just need the music ok
my psyche is starving

majority of what's in that hashtag is a mess but this has me dying

Sleep music? Aren't we LANA fans? I mean sis honeymoon is keeping no one awake... It's not a bad thing, but literally most of Lana's discography is sleep music so.....

this is actually a FANTASTIC example, because what happened with fiona's record turned out to be that it was never actually shelved, but that she didn't like the terms her label gave her for working on it, and quit rather than comply with them (i'll put a better explanation in a spoiler in case anyone cares, but that's the gist of it). so basically production and promotion on the record just stopped entirely, and fans assumed it had been shelved, so they set up the free fiona protests. after that kind of display of support, fiona ended up getting the funding and the go-ahead to finish and release her album how she wanted. so i feel like this is actually a really good parallel to the lana situation, since we don't know what exactly is going on; putting pressure on the label would be a great way to get some information at the very least!
what happened with the fiona record was that she had an almost fully produced version complete, but it didn't fit with her vision so she wanted to remake most of the songs. the label wouldn't give her the money to redo more than one song at a time, and they would have to see each song when it was finished to decide whether they liked it before giving her the green light on the next one. she decided to just quit rather than let the label have that kind of involvement in the creative process, so for all intents and purposes it appeared that the album had been shelved, hence the protest. but even though the protesters didn't know what was going on behind the scenes, the pressure they put on the label ended up achieving their goal anyway...hence why this feels very relevant
