  1. Yes, this is what I'll be posting about once I've finished following up on one last thing. Stay tuned.

    Ride

That line makes me think of the Radiohead song:
  3. Or the American Midwest. The song's called "Ride". How can she not at least come to the Motor City? :imbeingsarcasticbitch2:
  4. Careful saying MDM is auto-tuned. Countdown to Monicker dissertation on what is and isn't auto-tuned in 3, 2, 1...
  5. "I’m tired of feeling like I’m fucking crazy. I’m tired of driving till I see stars in my eyes..."
  6. I'd have mentioned it except I didn't know it was underrated I guess. I just figured everyone knew how great that song is.
  7. You stole the exact same two songs I was thinking of!
  8. Yes, an "Interviews" subsection somewhere. Perhaps under "Media"? Then someone can make a pinned thread under it with a table listing all the interviews in chronological order with links to the interviews, and perhaps links to separate threads to discuss each interview. A subsection under "Shows" called "Early Shows" where I can move my table of known Lizzy Grant gigs and start creating separate threads for each show containing all known media and information about it. I'd like to keep this accessible only to moderators at first so I can keep the format of the individual gig threads consistent. Although, if you can find a way to only allow my collaborators Neal and HeadBitch access in addition to moderators that would be appreciated.
  9. Why isn't the bearded man from the "Blue Velvet" video on this list? :imbeingsarcasticbitch2:
  10. Well, since I'm straight, this is pretty obvious: Kill Hundred Dollar Pussy before he tries to rape me through my chastity belt. Have an unconsummated marriage with SitarKitty. And fuck Maru. Emile Haynie, David Kahne, Rick Rubin.
  11. It's far from the best, but "Jump" and "Smarty" are massively underrated.
  12. You'd have to get past one of these first: How's that for BDSM? Auto-Tuned Loon, Ben Mawson, Heavy Hitler.
  13. In the fucking lyrics to the song. :imbeingsarcasticbitch2:
  14. I've seen people talk about Lana's Elvis covers a few places around this forum. Aside from this gig review from her Lizzy Grant days mentioning she performed "Heartbreak Hotel", do we know anything else about any Elvis covers? Did she talk about them in an interview or something?
  15. "Gas Station", "Smartie", "Mermaid Hotel", "Hey Lolita Hey", "What Makes Us Girls", "Little Girls" & "Take Me to Paris" are also registered.
  16. http://pitchfork.com...7-lana-del-rey/ http://thequietus.co...l-rey-interview Nothing explicit about overdosing, though I remember thinking the same thing when I read it.
  17. Ugh, it's so hard to choose considering I fell in love with Lana's music because of how sexy and sultry her voice is (except on her poppy girly-voiced songs like "Paris" and "Puppy Love"). But here's what I'd pick out of songs that have leaked so far: The intros to "She's Not Me", "Kinda Outta Luck", and "Kill Kill". Also, the choruses and bridge on "Kill Kill". "Yayo" for the sense of longing it conveys. "Go Go Dancer" is just so fucking hot. But "Come When You Call Me America", "Playing Dangerous", and "Burning Desire" would be the absolute essentials on my sex jams mix-tape. So seductive and sexy.
  18. I want my cake and I want you to eat me out too. Shouldn't this be in the "Lolita" lyrics thread? You of all people Monicker.
  19. In my day, people only had their eyes glued to a screen during sex if they were watching porn together. #oldmanrant
  20. She also mentions "golden grill" in "Velvet Crowbar" and supposedly there's an unleaked song called "Golden Grill". But what's going on with her just watching TV while she's letting him touch her? She also mentions the intersection of Hollywood and Vine in "Burning Desire". Silicone and collagen. Next question. *rimshot*
  21. The still used for the stereo mix YouTube video makes me wonder what auto-tuned animal noises Emile Haynie would have put on an album entitled Pet Sounds. Or imagine "Good Vibrations" with auto-tuned loon instead of an Electro-Theremin. The mono mix brings back memories of when I first fell in love with pop music during my oldies phase in grade school. After I'd go to bed, I'd turn on my crappy alarm clock radio just loud enough to hear it well and just quiet enough to avoid my parents' detection. I'd listen late into the night, marking off songs I'd heard on a Top 1000 Oldies list printed on an advert in the local paper for the oldies station, checking them off one by one by the light of a flashlight hidden under my pillow. Ah, memories...
